Good luck with the interview Fred!
I have lost 1lb this week and done 10 hours of exercise. It would be a bit more but I still haven't worked my way back up to a 2 mile walking DVD after being poorly - hopefully soon! Finally debt free!! March 2018 :j0 -
I was running late so I had one go at the scales and it was -2lbs. So now I'm only 20 stone... !!!!!!...
I said to myself in the typical "I'll do it tomorrow" fashion that when I get to this weight the exercise will begin proper. I'm also going for the long game now, a steady 2lbs per week with more weight training.
As for exercise this week, put me down for a piffling 159 minutes.
And I hope more than anything this mini-meltdown will subside and I can get my head straight with everything.0 -
+ 1lb this week. I knew I had lost it too easily when I was unwell and it would go back on.
Now I am feeling better I need to get back to the gym and get myself moving, feeling very sluggish and bleuh!!!0 -
This week it's -1.2lbs for me please fred.White_Rose_Tight_ThaKnows wrote: »I said to myself in the typical "I'll do it tomorrow" fashion that when I get to this weight the exercise will begin proper. I'm also going for the long game now, a steady 2lbs per week with more weight training.
What kind of weight training do you do? I feel like I should introduce some strength training at some point, but I don't feel very enthusiastic about it, and I'm also completely lacking in knowledge on the subject. I don't want to pay to go to a gym, so I need something I can do at home.
My boyfriend wanted to get us Dominos for dinner tonight. He knows I'm trying to lose weight (but I don't think he takes it very seriously). I said NO!0 -

But if you're starting out then bodyweight exercises are ok. Press ups, lunges, dips, squats, etc. For anyone who can't do a proper press up start by leaning forward and pushing from against a wall, then a kitchen counter, add in some press ups on knees too.
Also, find any weight that you can hold comfortably in your hand and curl.
A rucksack comes in handy to put general weight in, and that can be used in the hand for arm and shoulder exercises or on the back for leg work, etc.0
