But doesn't the IP address change if you simply reset the router? I'm sure that has been mentioned before when there were troll problems.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

Yeah with a lot of providers you can get a new IP address by simply resetting your router.0 -
I had quite a few within minutes of each other last month, all different names, all new users, all messages identical, so obviously from same person. I didn't report but have stopped posting as much, as I have enough going on.
Will say whoever the aliases belonged to they are a regular forum comp board user, though they may not be a regular contributer xxI love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

It makes me laugh when they nearly always seem to say something like 'get a life'. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.
Love your attitude Zombie and glad it didn't get to you too much.
I wish MSE would find some way of dealing with these little truckers, so that they can't keep coming back under a new name. What do people think about suggesting email verification for new members? That way, at least they would have to also find a new email address for each new persona?
Love n blue skies peeps XXX
Haha... i know right! I was going to say that to someone that was trolling on here the other day.
But, one must remember... thou shalt not feed the troll.0 -

this has happened many a time to me as well, it's obviously the same person who targets me & others in the inn on a regular basis, they obviously read through our profiles & postings as some of the trolls posts/pm's refer to a lot of things we've talked/joked/discussed in threads & i agree with you becky it's got to be regular forum user
What if we asked for a Troll button - something perhaps that required say, three different members clicking, and when they click it brings up a window for them to confirm, so that it couldn't be done by mistake. Then once three members click the Troll button, that member is instantly suspended, until MSE have a chance to review - meaning they cannot post or pm. What do folks think?
Blu XXX
that would be a great idea blu if mse could implement it.please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
