I wouldn't describe it as sweet or thoughtful, they are either self-promoting naughty people* (most of them) and/or have not been thoughtful enough to read the rules before posting or observant enough just to notice the posting format.
Just as bad (or even worse because they should know better) are the people who add links to the posts without checking them or getting the format corrected first.

Perhaps to cut down on the "mergers" workload it might be an idea to "expire" incorrect posts just to get them off the main board, they get moved to game over anyway and it would save the BGs a bit of time as well as clearing the board faster so fewer people would have entered and run the risk of duping if the comp gets added properly later.


(The word scum was there before as in banter round here it means nothing but clearly it is a bother in quite a few places)

Like that idea, 9 times out of 10 even if you offer advice on correcting the format they never come back and do it.
