I typed a long reply about what BT had done, how it hadn't improved the BB one iota, posted speedtest.net and pingtest.net results (the same as before) and guess what?.......

Something died and it all disappeared!

I've logged a thread on the TT Broadband help thread - I suppose that's the next step as BT will say they've done all they can.

Incidentally, I've had to restore my laptop twice recently because an automatic update kills the internet completely. Has anyone else had issues with recent Microsoft updates?

ETA: Somewhere between BT and TT, our problem has been fixed. Took 11 visits by BT engineers and civils people and full on complaint to TT but we now have superfast BB at 18.5mbps! Can't believe it!

Thanks to everyone for their help.
