Tesco's anti English delicacy policy

I just wanted to point out that there really are that many disabled people! Admittedly more than two thirds are just old and the associated mobility problems that go with ageing but you'll be old too one day!
I agree though- if a supermarket manufactures and sells a product, it should make sure that it does so in the region the product originates. Of course, it might just be that the local shops do it better!
As for stocking a regional delicacy away from the region, unfortunately it's business/economics/see above posts. It's not much help, I know, but you could make your own.Aiming to pay off mortgage by my 30th birthday... £39438 to go!

Yup.
Nothing tastes better than home made food. We as a nation have started to use processed nonsense for so long that wever forgotten what real food tastes like. Right Im hungry now...Im off to get me a Mcdonalds and a Mcflurry....mmmmm....0 -
Good idea Dangerous, he's done really well since he split up with Cher, and has the ear of Presidents and Prime Ministers (situation Vacant).
He'd be pretty p***d of if he couldn't get his soda bread. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Just because something is English doesn't automatically mean that it's nice, or that people want to buy it in sufficient numbers to warrant stocking it.
Remember, the most popular dish in England is Chicken Tikka Marsala which is Scottish in origin. Can I help?0 -
I live in the east midlands and am unable to buy the justly famous North Staffordshire Oatcakes from my local store.
I am totally enraged that I could buy, Naan breads various, popadoms, tortilla wraps, pittas, crepes (whatever they are, probably French) but no oatcakes.
I am forced to drive over to Bidduph in Staffordshire when I wish to stock up with them.
I am thinking of writing to Tesco to get them to compensate me for the petrol.
PS If you are unenlightened about this delicacy there is some information here.

You should write a letter to the lead singer of U2, I think his name is Bonio or something. He could write a song about it and eventually everyone will know about that awful Tesco's food selling policy. You never know it could be as big as the Berlin wall coming down.
Bono, Bonios are dog biscuits lol:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :T0 -
Why not use a local business thus supporting the small man instead of demanding that tesco takes more of their trade away?Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0

That is a really good Idea cos it does actually work out cheaper in the long run and the quality is far better too.0 -
My sis in law moved over to Boston ten years ago and we have to take her oatcake packages! She freezes them and claims they are just as nice. She always has at least 10 dozen oatcakes in her freezer!0
