Tesco won't stock them until the supplier pays a listing fee and 'rents' the shelf space off them - that's how supermarkets work.

Not all space is supplier finded. Just core lines which tend to dominate by large brands eg confectionary mars vs nestle, drinks - coco cola & shweppes vs smithkline beecham

I've got some homemade ones, fresh from the griddle, made to a secret recipe by my daughter's boyfriend's dad.
You really don't want someone like tesco to get hold of them - it's like comparing Mr kipling bakewell tarts to traditional bakewell pudding sold in the pudding shop in Bakewell.
Although the recipe is basically the same - no two oatcake shops' oatcakes taste the same.
We used to take them back for friends when we lived in RAF Germany many years ago.
They are a regional, nay, a national treasure - and very healthy too!

and you can't even get good old ENGLISH fish and chips anymore, it's all kebabs, burgers, pizza, chinense, indian etc. bloody johhny foreigner eh Cronaldo.
  • English food is Chicken Tikka Massalla

Unless you mean 'Minority indigenous people hanging onto a stable diet from a three decades ago' refer to English food as jellied eels/fish'n'chips

In any event the reason their is a shortage of PROPER fish'n'chips is that weve have gorged so much on Cod that stocks are seriously running low through over farming.
