Do men ever grow up?

In the words of an old British proverb- getting old is compulsory, growing up is not!

I'm sorry but "getting old is compulsory, growing up is not" is not an excuse or reason for behaviour that is either crude or ignorant. If a child behaved that way you would not tolerate it so why should you from a older person?:(
My aim is to "grow old disgracefully" but this doesn't mean upsetting my partner.
In my opinion its not about men being childish but selfish!!!!:mad:0 -
"Am I bothered, face bothered?" lol
Grow up, I think not. My "girls" on MSE love me stalking them, why should I stop? It doesn't bother my OH in the least; she says if I wasn't looking or making comments about beautiful young ladies she would think there is something wrong with me. That's all the encouragement I need!

I have a feeling that your husband's business and the company he kept there may have been an outlet for his smuttiness and now that's gone you are on the receiving end of it.
If his juvenile behaviour offends you you do have every right to ask him why he thinks it's so funny when you plainly don't share in the hilarity and to ask him to desist.
Or buy him a subscription to Viz and leave him a list of unfunny chores so he doesn't have much time on his hands for smut and filth0 -
Reminds me of an age old joke.
What's the difference between a man and a piece of cheese?
Cheese matures!

Does he socialise much? Edit - sorry just reread and see that he does. Maybe he needs more!?
I know my husband was out of work for 4 weeks at the start of the year and he normally works in a very fast, alpha-male environment and I did have to tell him at one point towards the end that I was his wife and not one of his colleagues!
We're back to normal now, thank goodness.0 -
Might be the start of a mid life crisis! Good luck if it is. My dad is having his late and has also resorted to being like a teenager again and he is almost 70.Grammar: The difference between knowing your !!!!!! and knowing you're !!!!!! :cool:0

Have you ever considered the fact that you are in the wrong?
Farts are funny, always have been. Why do they make whoopee cushions if its not funny? why are there loads of fart apps on the android/Iphone market? why do comedians make jokes about them?0 -

Of course they are funny to some, but they are definitely not funny to all (me included). They make whoopee cushions for the people who think it is funny. They make apps because some people think they are funny. Comedians make jokes about it because some people think they are funny. Because a company makes something doesn't mean EVERYBODY thinks it's funny.
The world would be a very dull place if everyone thought the same.0
