Oooh if Only! I didn't sleep at all last night (I generally fall asleep around 06.30 hours due to pain and we had to get up at 06.00 hours :p)

I have also fallen asleep in the scanner as find them strangely comforting and like the noises they produce. I actually really look forward to an MRI scan - good job as I have quite a few:T

    Hope all is well x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.

  • Hi there

Just a quick post to say that I'm in again and to send 'get well soon' messages to all those undergoing tests or feeling poorly, also for the poorly kitty cats.

I've been busy today with cleaning the bathroom and kitchen again, sorting and dealing with paperwork, paid work, then chewed a frog and have just spent an hour on the phone to my SIL! Not as bad as I thought it might be, but can't now believe it's nearly 8pm! Pizza is heating up in the oven, salad is washed, fresh fruit for afters, so bye for now, as dinner beckons!!

Thanks to Dusty and Natty, by the way, for last week's, and this week's, thread and I'll see you tomorrow.

    Non-flying whinge alert:

A bit perturbed. Nursery called earlier, DS has had a little telling off. He shoved another boy (apparently unprovoked) and then punched a girl  I am mortified. In three years there he has never done anything like this :( of course he and his sister push and shove, but honestly, a punch? He's 4 !!!!!!. I was so gobsmacked I could barely speak to him.

He said the boy pushed him in the morning and he punched the girl because he doesn't like girls  OMG
He took himself to sit on the step and seemed thoughtful, so I left him to it. Later he seemed really sad, and came for a cuddle, and said "but girls don't like me". So we had a chat about how I'm a girl, his sister is a girl, granny is a girl and c****** (his girlfriend) is a girl, and we all like him. And even if someone doesn't like him, how will punching them help?

I left him to it again for a while, and he came back and said sorry, and he wouldn't do it again. So I helped him write a card to the little girl (who is one of his friends too) and told him I don't want to hear of him doing anything like that again (along with the "no swimming if you do" deal).

I'm going to sound like I'm in denial here, but there are two boys who he used to stay away from as they are very boisterous, but he's been playing with them lately, and the whole guns and baddies and shooting play has been coming out :(

Oh Bossy he is a wee lad, these things happen, definitely not something to be mortified over.

Not achieved so much today, just back from a food top up shop as I seem a bit out of synch with food shopping.

Out tomorrow a fair bit with the school at an athletics event which is good news as the kitchen window is coming out.

Off to do the list and watch uni Chal.

Note to self - page 2

I have flown at work - opened the cutlery drawer in the staff room to find that someone had left icky chocolate cake finger prints in there. Recoiled in horror and flung the WHOLE LOT in the sink to clean. (We had a fundraiser on Friday, with refreshments being sold by the peopleon whom I can readily lay the blame).
They were all over the cutlery tray.

And I have washed, dried and ironed. I have extra tea-stained teaspoons in the dw, now, too.

Anyway, thanks to Dusty and Natty for your sterling work keeping the thread going and *wince* at the tache stories (and Valli is VERY glad she's a ginner;))

Gooditentions get well soon vibes for your SD

Get well soon to any other poorlies out there.

Not a good day for flying here - I stayed at work late so mostly just the basics done today:

    Made bed
    Collected parcel
    Tidied LR
    Washed dishes
    S&S kitchen
    Put dry laundry away

Really need to do some ironing and whip the hoover round tomorrow. But I have a full day at work and then going out for dinner with OH before his knee op on Wednesday. Not too worried because I have Thursday and Friday off so I can always catch up then.

    Monday - Rooms of Doom
    Basic Flying
[STRIKE]Clear the floors and hoover them
    15 minutes tidying this area
    Dust
    anything electrical
Empty the bins or find something to throw away[/STRIKE]
    Deep Cleaning
    Wipe some paint work
    Clean a window or two
Take everything off the most cluttered surface, wipe it clean - do you really want to put it all back?
    Decluttering
[STRIKE]Hotspot, seek them out and destroy them
    15 minutes deleting
emails/favourites, old word documents, blurry photos you choose or filing
    shredding
Sort out the hall or understairs cupboard[/STRIKE]

Shredding all the details off the junk mail is becoming a nightmare. Dh has been just piling them into the study bin to "shred later", There was an enormous pile so every time we have ripped an address of something we have shredded it straight away and shoved in a handful from the hoard and it is down to the bottom third so nearly there...this time tomorrow maybe. Sorted understairs cupboard and made DS go through cricket bag to see what still fits (not much:(). Still now have a pile to give to his friend so a bit more decluttering done and I can get the hoover in and out more easily.

Morning all. Another early start. Just having breakfast, will then pop a dog bed in the WM, and make a start on the downstairs loo.

    Morning all :)

Valli, the kitchen where I used to work was always gross and a real health hazard! I used to wash up and clean everything including the fridge but it was disgusting again within a few days! In the end I stopped going in there (not very MSE, but better for my health to buy a cuppa from the local cafe). Anyway, one day the manager came in and said if the kitchen wasn't clean by the next day she was going to throw everything away; no one did anything so she came back the next day with rubber gloves and threw out all the dirty dishes, cutlery and everything from the fridge! I thought it was brilliant but other people were outraged!

No flying for me today, I've got an awful sore throat and head cold :( it started yesterday afternoon and gradually got worse as the day went on. Only got up to make sure DD's are ready for school; certainly not up to cycling today so DD2 is getting a lift to school with a friend. I'm just having a hot drink with honey and lemon along with a couple of paracetamol, then I'm going back to bed once my girls have left for school - only 15 mins to go ;)

Maybe get some flying done later.... Cake x
