I'm in again. Thanks for the list. Another early start for me today so I've managed to feed/medicate /walk the dogs, hoover/sweep/mop through house, put washing on and sorted stuff on airer (which is now broken), washed and dried up the breakfast dishes, dusted fireplace, TV and wiped dog marks from patio door. Paid stuff now.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Morning all
White stuff here too, so there goes my ideas of doing windows outside! WM and TD on, dishes done. Have to go out for appt now but will be flying when I get back0 -
Morning all - healing vibes to poorly ankles, bottoms, heads and animals - forgotten anyone? sorry if I have!
White stuff here today but brilliant sunshine - looks lovely.
Off to the beauty parlour today to spend birthday vouchers from last month so really looking forward to that. Kids are both off school with coughs and colds but snuggled up in onesie's and fleece blankets playing on electronic stuff.
Thanks once again Natty and Dusty for the lists. Glad to read it's Rooms of Doom as there is more scope for actually getting it done and tidied without me having to think that a more pressing room requires a bit of TLC.
Working tonight from 5pm so gentle pottering and tidying today will be very satisfying.
Please can you send some good health vibes for a colleague at work. She fell top-to-bottom downstairs on Saturday night at her DD's house and is in hospital with a bleed on her brain. I really hope she is going to be okay.
Have a lovely day everyone.
TMD xx

Good morning
I am in this week (hopefully). Thanks Dusty for the lists.
My weekend was a bit of a write offI had a call from my mum Saturday afternoon that SD wasn't well - his sight had completely gone  She had called the paramedic, but was getting a bit upset (understandable, but so not like my mum
) I drove to hers, then went to the horse piddle with them. he has had another TIA (mini-stroke) and they are keeping him in until the end of the week. On the upside, at least this gives my mum a bit of a break
Hopefully now she will seek some help with caring for him. I think he is on the autistic spectrum (I am not a professional, and it is not diagnosed - he is 75 and wouldn't have been picked up when he was young), so he can be quite hard work even when he was well!! To top it all, my mum phoned this morning to say she had locked herself out while putting out the bins!! She is 15 miles away, it is rush hour & there is a blizzard blowing!! DH was duly dispatched. It was lucky he went, and not me, as she had the latch on the front door (she had used the side gate & it had blown shut!!) so he had to go over the side gate to get in the back. I would never have been able to do that!! She is going to get a key cut for her NDN
My children spoilt me at the weekend by clubbing together and buying me the boots I wanted (needed!!) I have warm dry feet now :T
Hugs to poorlies - esp Bossy (ouch! You need to rest up and just do computer based jobs - flying can wait!!) and Skint
I hope the poorly puss turned up again last night. My cat is looking very sorry for herself, as she has scratched her eye, so I have put a vet collar on her to break the cycle of scratching the scabs off )
I need to really make a dent in my paperwork this week! DH has been keeping up on the flying :T He has done all the washing & ironing, washing up, etc - so I have no excuse!! He has also decided to decorate the landing - he will do the hall at Easter (or the weekend) when I have no children here (not good for health & safety!) We are painting over the existing paper & using up paint from the shed :money:
Hugs, sticks & spoons to thoses that need them - and sorry for the mega post!!0 -
Morning gang
I hope your ankle is better today bossy x
Thoughts with TMD's work colleague after her nasty fall x
I'm struggling to identify one room which is significantly more doom-like than the others so my plan is to do the decluttering and basic flying in the LR, kitchen, and hall, then see whether I go on to the deep cleaning or go upstairs and do decluttering and basic flying there. Decisions, decisions...

[STRIKE]Sort out the hall or understairs cupboard[/STRIKE]I don't have a cupboard in the hall or under the stairs; it is in the kitchen and would take ALL DAY
OK I'm going to start in the LR after a quick swig of coffee.
