Just wondered if anybody has managed to fight Thomson and win with regards to there 2 year ruling on paying out compensation for flight delays, I applied last year when in 2009 our flight to the Maldives for our honeymoon was delayed 4 hours and as expected got the standard 2yr ruling, in my frustration I decided to go straight to the top and managed to get the email address of Thomson's Managing Director so wrote directly to him on the appalling way this company is treating its passengers, the very people keeping him and others like him in there top jobs. Got a standard reply from his secretary saying how sorry they were but the ruling stood. I really don't want to give up on this but am at a bit of a loss of where to go now!!!:(0

Not sure what you mean. There isn't a "2 year ruling". If you have read this thread (there's only 4 pages), you will know there is a court case pending which challenges the 2 year point. Assuming that is decided in favour of the claimant, you'll be able to make your claim.
(You can make it now but it will likely be held back pending the above case.)
In the meantime, read the FAQs so you will know whether your claim is indeed eligible and, if so, how to take action to recover compensation.0 -

My case was stayed last October, pending the outcome of this appeal. Any idea whether it will be possible to follow the proceedings anywhere online?0

What in real time?
The judgement will come some weeks after the hearing I imagine. And I bet you a pint it'll be all over this forum when it arrives!0 -

Isn't the Appeal Court televised these days? (Or am I thinking of the Supreme Court?)
Also where/how will the judgement be announced?0 -
I'm not sure if i'm allowed to post a link to this or not, but Court of Appeal have confirmed the Dawson appeal will be heard on Tuesday the 13th May 2014. Bott and Co will be doing live updates on their twitter feed for those interested :-
