    Good evening everyone,

Well, the lamb was a great success!!!! It was delicious - i just roasted it as a normal joint, and its full of flavour, and very tender (it was a piece of organic lamb as well, yellow stickered from Mr Ts!!!) i think im going to put the rest in the SC. along with the left over gravey and turn it into a casserole. The children also loved it, which is an extra bonus - they have told me i can cook it again. Im now sat here with the last of the wine (from the bottle i had to open yesterday!!!)
Havnt really done anything else, its been raining all afternoon, i just went out to the compost bin and im now soaking, so earlky into my pjs i think!!!
DW is on, so is the BM, so cant make the packed lunches until later - im just going to whip the hoover around before settling down for the night - House is on tonight at 9 - its my fav prog!!!
Ok, hope everyone has a lovely evening,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Oh, forgot to say, ive got some ruhbarb crumble slices cooking in the oven at the moment - from a Waitrose recipe card, they are smelling lovely!!!!

    Evening everyone :hello:

scuzz - so glad that you've sorted everything out with your dearly beloved. ;)

DH will be late home tonight. As part of the stag weekend he's going on, he's having to buy a few items but they all have to be on the same receipt. Thank goodness we have a Tesco Extra near us. He's got to get some really odd things like a melon, some Resolve etc

I had a pleasant surprise when I returned home tonight. One of the books that I've put on Amazon Marketplace has sold :j :j Ok, so I'm not going to be a millionaire through it, but it'll add to my rating of one so far! I'm just hoping that other people are going to fall for the charms of the other books on there. :D

I'm trying to plan my weekend of being without DH.... I've got plenty of planning to do, so I'll probably be doing that for most of the weekend. It's the farmers' market on Saturday, so I'll be able to treat myself to some lovely, yummy food to keep me going..... ;)

Supper tonight is basque chicken casserole that should have defrosted by now.

    Hi all
I don't often post midweek, but I thought I'd treat myself.
We have a horrible situation at work at present, they have a massive budget shortfall £250,000 & so they need to lose staff, some are going volutarily & some are being made redundant. There is one member of staff who doesn't want to leave & they don't want to make him redundant as he's been there 16 years & it will cost to much. So they have interviewed all the female staff asking if anyone is willing to make a written complaint about him behaving inappropriately!!!
I told them he always behaves like a perfect gentleman (this isn't strictly true, lol, but I'm quite friendly with him & within the bounds of our friendship, he does behave appropriately. I'm just disgusted at the way they are behaving & if I had the opportunity to change jobs I would.
    Ah well, rant over.
Hugs to all & congrats to first time mum.

I found the thread I was looking for, but there are just too many recipes hints and tips.

DANNA - bless your heart for typing it all out for me. I'm very grateful and I will try it all tomorrow! I bet you don't mention any other recipes now in case I ask for them! The recipe you gave me for the small loaf gets used every day - we love it and it's so much better than the one in my manual so your posting doesn't go to waste, I can assure you! You went to a lot of time and trouble to do that so thank you very much! Have a great evening!

I didn't bake my loaf and I didn't do any housework. I came down with an instant depression and went to bed instead. Sorry.

However, I did receive a delivery from Lakeland - a keep bread fresh bag (I used to have their potato bag and it was great, worked a treat ... until I left some spuds in there for months and months and they went so off I couldn't de-weld them from the bag), a food grater with attached collection box, a Jamie Oliver silicone 1lb loaf tin, and a pot of baking beans. I've been looking for baking beans for months and months - years, even - and Lakeland is the only place I can find them.

Not such a letdown, though. I almost strolled up to the chppy for fish n chips, but decided on a plate of home fried chips instead (comfort food). After all, as with last night's Chinese that never happened, how would I explain it to the MSErs?

Well I got most of my jobs done today, just some filing to do tonight if I can stay awake long enough

I have threaded some of the crystals but will carry on tomorrow with those. I like to hang mine in my windows and I have quite a collection of them now, most of them I have got off Ebay. I particularly like the ones that quartzferret makes allthough it is a long time since I bought any!. Check out the hanging crystals section if you are interested. The ones I am tackling are some loose ones that have been hanging around since before we moved, one of those jobs that is always last on the list and never gets done.

Shez if you are interested here is a link to what happened to us after we moved in to this house,

Whatever it is seems to be on the increase, knocking on the front door when OH was right next to it and there was no one there, shoes being put down in one place and appearing in another, things are disappearing again, tv and lights switching themselves on and off etc, this time though I hope we can prevent it escalating to what it did last year. The vicar that helped us is away for a couple of days but they say she will contact us when she gets back. Funnily enough it has been a rather stressful time in the Smoky household again and I wonder if the vicar was right?

Anyway enough of that, tomorrow we are off to see a greenhouse (free) and me and DD are going to get our hair cut and I have a lovely plum colour to go on mine after:eek:

I hope you all have a good night,

    Smoky. xxxx

    Evening all.
Hardup hester, what a awful thing to be asked at work, that is just down right WRONG, Hope things work out ok.

Hope you have all had a good day,we have only just ate as been at footy training tonight, last one for a few weeks thankfully.
Tommorow i plan to use up all left overs in freezer, im ready for a BIG shop to fill up cupboards ect but it can wait until monday, as saturday at a all day footy tournement so picnic planned for then.
Really feels strange with ds2 not here, it isnt any quiter but alot less arguments, yet he is the quitest of them all, just think its because they cant argue over space on the sofa,in the car ect. Still makes a big difference only having to get 3 ready in the mornings instead of 4 LOL. Gives me more time for morning MSE session!!!!
Anyway off to look around the thread

    Hello from Florida!

I haven't read through the thread but hope you are all ok. (((Hugs))) to all.

I am meant to be resting but just wanted to look in to say I've seen Shamu and the show was great! Definately going back. Yesterday dd andI swam with a dolphin and have some lovely photos. Kyle I am collecting maps of the parks for you as I go!

This morning we found some second hand shops in Kissimee and I managed to get a Pennsyvannian dutch cook book that my Mum used to have so am very pleased with that, lots of cookie recipes to try out when I get home, and some cookie presses. Also got a leaflet with some Christmas craft ideas using paper bags! I have yet to find Michaels for the rest of my craft supplies but have found Wal mart ( 3 different ones within 10 mins of each other!)

We are off to Magic Kingdom soon to see the fireworks and to watch tinkerbell fly!

look after yourselves! See you all soon
