Morning Everyone:hello:
Got my new slicer delivered from QVC this morn - oo its fab!! shredded lettuce, sliced cucumber - and it saves on keep lugging out the food processor! and it made a change that the delivery van came to my house instead of my neighbour - who seems to have a delivery EVERY day!
Van must be on autopilot to her house!:rotfl: :rotfl:
So I made myself a lovely salad for lunch - and then remembered that I am meeting a friend for lunch today!! (reminder -Must check out the tapas bar - apparently they have a £10 eat as much as you like offer on!)
Good News - DH has heard from a job he applied for - has been sent more info and an application form - so looks promising! (fingers crossed!):D
Coloured my hair this morning - put those grey highlights at bay for a few weeks!!:rotfl:
Last nite I made brown rolls in the BM using Doves Organic breadmix - but for some reason they didnt "prove"usually white rolls rise up before cooking?? I even tried putting them in airing cupboard!
Is it a thing with brown flour maybe?? or that I tried Asda yeast instead of the usual Hovis Yeast??
Just looked up tickets for the Chelsea Flower Show - £22.50 from 3.30 onwards - have to think about that one first!!!
amie - Keep the Pool!!! - you know you'll enjoy it;)
pooky - banana muffins - is that on paul Mckenna's CD????
taplady - Well Done on the weight loss:T makes you feel good and gives you the spur to carry on doesnt it?!!

Hello again,
Oops a daisy - well done, 4 days is going well!!!!
Amie - ive copied csarinas recipe - basically i took 3 cloves of garlic and sliced them. Then, cut little slits all over the lamb and pushed the garlic in. Then ive poured half a bottle of red wine over it (ive left it in its plastic 'pot' it came in, csarina used a plastic bag) covered it in tin foil and put it into the fridge. Ive turned it once, and will be roasting it later, using the left over juice in my gravey. It is smelling lovely, i wish i could leave it another day really, csarina started marinating hers on the friday, to cook on the sunday dinner time. Will let you know how it turns out later!!!!
Yorkshirechick - congratulations on your news, a new baby is such a joy!!!
anniestar - glad things are a 'little' better, i hope things are on the up now xxx
kyle - really glad OH apologised, i hope he means it - if not, not only does he have twink after him, but a load of ladies of the OS board!!!!
shez - fingers crossed for DH - have you had any news from your boss yet???
pooky - you shouldve seen me when my delivery arrived, i was so excited!!! The lady who delivered it was lovely too, mind you, they sent the wrong apples, tomato puree and a butternut squash that was smaller than i had requested, so i rang and complained and they refunded me those items!!! Will use it again, but i did miss going around doing the shopping myself (and looking for any yellow stickered items!!!).
((HUGS)) to anyone who wants/needs one xxx
Well, ive been out all morning. Dropped LO off at nursery, then went to my 2s school for communion. Ive never been to the school service before, and it was lovely. DS was reading the part of Jesus in the leason, and he did really well, both his teacher and the head teacher came up to me afterwards to say how well he had done (proud mummy moment there!!!). DD also loved the fact i was there, and when the part came to wish peace on your neighbour, she came over to me for a big hug!!! I didnt participate in the communion, as i havnt been confirmed, but it was still nice to be there, and i think it made the childrens day to see me there, supporting them, as not many parents go.
So, ive done nothing apart from load the DW, and put the bins out. LO is now asleep, so im debating whether i should do something, or have a browse on MSE!!! Since finding out about my comp win last friday, i spend a lot of time on the comp board now, hoping i can carry on my winning streak!!!
Well, i need to do something, so hope everyone has a lovely afternoon (its tipping with rain here, but good for the garden)
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Morning Everyone:hello:
amie - Keep the Pool!!! - you know you'll enjoy it;)
pooky - banana muffins - is that on paul Mckenna's CD????
taplady - Well Done on the weight loss:T makes you feel good and gives you the spur to carry on doesnt it?!!
:
You can eat anything you like - as long as you stop when you're full
I must say it's really working for me so far - I must have eaten half of what I'd normally eat and haven't felt the need to pick at anything. Let me know how you get on with your CD when you get it, make sure you listen to it through headphones if you can."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Have a quick five mins so thought i'd pop in for a quick catch up
dannahaz - I know it's bad but I must admit I couldn't stop laughing when I read your story about your cat. Glad to see he's coming round though.
Yorkshirechick - CONGRATS :T
samsampotts - Glad you got to see a doctor. Hopefully the test results will be fine.
Taplady - Congrats on your weight loss. I'm starting slimming world again in 2 weeks so hopefully I will have some success.
Kyle - Big hugs to you. I hope your other half has apologised for his behaviour. I know we all lose it at times but belittling you is not going to help.
Shez - Fingers crossed for your DH
oops a daisy - Congrats on your smoking. I must admit I need to kick the habit myself and in all honesty I'm at the stage where I know it's just a habit as I don't enjoy most of the ones I smoke. Time to think about giving up soon I think.
I'm feeling a little down at the moment, I've just seen my lovely nan's house on the web for sale as it's been sold ready to start the dispersement of the will. Looking at the pictures just makes me think of all of the fun times there and it's really weird to see it with her furniture still in. Getting all teary thinking of it again to be honest
Right enough of my moping, best get back to it.You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
Congratulations Yorkshirechick!! I remember that first few weeks when you don't look or feel any different but you know you have a little person starting to grow inside you
You'll have to wait for the scan, and the first kicks, for it to seem real!
Shez , do you have any details of the chopper please? My mum asked for something like this for her birthday and I was hoping for a recommendation.
Thanks everyone for your advice re the passport. Unfortunately DH really can't get the time off work to go to the passport office. We are so stupid, I can't believe we managed to forget this, things have just been so hectic recently. It's gone off with Check and Send today and we have a tracking number to check on their website how things are progressing. If it's getting near the time and not been sent out I will phone them for some advice. The lady in the PO said most people were getting theirs back quickly at the moment though so have fingers tightly crossed.
catowen, glad you decided to go, and yay for your DSThat man is richest whose pleasures are cheapest. Henry David Thoreau0 -
again , thankyou everyone for all ur comment about my little man.
he has been a bit better this morning. so i bundled him up in buggy and we got my daugther from nursery. it is really cold and wet outside now. but i had to pop into town. as my mobile broke . and hubby gave me money to buy a new one. the kids were so pleased as the O2 shop had free lollies and ballon's. first smile from my son in 3 day's. decied while they were happy i would just pop into iceland. as we short on a few things. i stretched the order to £25 so it would be delivered. and i treat the kids to a taxi home. cost £3.80 which prob a waste of money. but i noticed the time and my son was due his medicine. my daugther was so chuffed. she loved it.
both kids are soundo. which is nice. i am chilling with a cup of tea . and i feel almost human again.
i didn't have bacon sandwich as my son was so upset i couldnt do anything. as i had to hold him the whole time. so i made myself a sandwich spread sandwich. which is really easy to make 1 handed.
also just wanted to sayYorkshirechick congrats. thats fantastic news. having a child/children is the most amazing adventure in the world. they don't care what u look like , how much money u have , what colour ur hair is. they just love u fully. and the way a child looks at u for the first time is a pciture u never forget.
i can't wait till i have another baby. i'm broody 24/7. lol0
