Got to say I love my Prime.. However I use Netflix/Virgin for TV. We've used prime TV probably twice in over 12 months and that's only because the kids have Amazon tablets at mums so used it there.
You do have to draw a line though!
Hope you get some peace tonight and time to yourself x“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -
When I got up this morning there was no snow. By the time I'd had my breakfast we had a light covering, didn't even notice it falling!
Today's to do list:
Finances
Meal plan
Mr M online order for next Saturday
Take dog on park
Ironing
Make soup for work lunches - spicy carrot and red lentil this week
Write out Christmas cards with Christmas music and a glass of Baileys or the free Amarula
Take dog for another walk to post Christmas cards
Put up outdoor Christmas lights
Make a roast veg lasagne for tonight's dinner - Mr SA and DD are having chicken, roast potatoes and veg
Extract dress for next week's work do out of wardrobe in spare room - I'll have to fight my way through the stored stuff. This is the dress I bought for last year's work do that I had to miss as it was just after I broke my ankle.
Clean the whole house
Read some more of my book
Finally have a nice long soak in the bath with candles, Christmas music, a face pack and prosecco left over from last night
The week ahead
Monday: Pick up drill I bought Mr SA for Christmas from Argos
Gym at lunchtime
Tuesday: Move furniture out of bedroom and into DS's room (again!)
Wednesday: Carpets finally (hopefully!) being fitted
Gym at lunchtime
Move furniture back into bedroom
Argos picking up faulty wardrobe and delivering new one
Thursday: Work Christmas meal number two - whole office this time, approx. 100 of us going
Friday: Gym at lunchtime
Hopefully this week's plans won't go pear-shaped like last week's.
Have a lovely Sunday everyone!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Take care of that ankle SA. Don’t do too much while it’s playing up.
I must admit I have Sky, Netflix and Amazon Prime! I don’t have the Sky sport or film packages though as I don’t watch sport and I use Netflix and Prime for the films. I filter the Netflix and Prime through Apple TV which I got for a pressie a while ago. I do enjoy the Netflix/Prime own series/films so these are some of my little pleasures!::D
With all that you do SA I would certainly treat yourself. As you say you can always fudge over what you actually paid for the stuff!:DAt least you haven’t bought numerous pairs of bootees!:rotfl:

Yes I did Hairy and have just got back from walking the dog to post them. I'm now warming up with a coffee.
The snow has disappeared from the roads and pavements and it's just wet here. I'm just hoping it doesn't freeze overnight as I'll be scared of slipping on my way to work tomorrow. I live at the top of a hill and every route is downhill.
Mr SA has attempted to put some lights up outside and made a right dog's dinner of them. They look awful
Finances done and the cc is looking  Will have to be careful now, but at least all the presents are bought. I'm cross with myself as I really don't know where some of my Christmas fund has gone, I've usually got some left to buy something extra with but not this year. I start off with such good intentions, making a note of all spends then the week runs away with me and I lose track. It's getting into the habit of doing it I suppose. I need to get into a better routine when I get home from work.
That aside, VSP 2018 now holds £16.27 and today was NSD 3 of the month.
Just got a few more jobs to do before I go and have my bath.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Quick update to say I've done some money shuffling and paid off the cc, although there are still a fair few items pending. Shuffled an oddment into the VSP so it's gone up to £20.70.
Really need to get more organised finance wise, I should, in theory, be able to save 30% of our income, so why isn't this happening? I think I would be better having a weekly budget rather than monthly as I just spend more at the beginning of the month. I'll give it a try when the money starts to come in again a week tomorrow, see if it works better. Basically I just need to stop spending so much!!!!!
Having said that Mr SA and I really do need some new toothbrush heads, the cat needs some more flea stuff and my Fitbit strap needs replacing. It's never ending!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
