Forgot to phone the kitchen place about the oven as work was manic from the off today. It worked fine tonight but will still mention it to them.

Thanks Redo, forgot about Advantage, will get that instead.

Absolutely shattered today, work was non stop. Didn't go to the gym at lunchtime went for a brisk walk instead as needed some fresh air.

Took me an hour to walk to work this morning because I had to tread carefully, normally takes 40 minutes. On the way back it was fine until I got close to home, it was so slippy.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • to the oven and other things going wrprong SA. I guess it's so stressful when appliances go wrong because most of us feel as if we're under enough stress as it just trying to live our normal lives . It's especially stressful at this time of year.

Be careful on the ice SA, you don't want to hurt your weak ankle . You need some hobnail boots :rotfl:.

Woke up this morning full of cold :( This explains why I felt so shattered yesterday. Not surprised as have been surrounded by people full of cold at work.

Pavements much better today, in fact there's very little snow or ice left, just on the side streets and grassy areas. Was all geared up to catch the bus this morning but ended up walking.

We've cleared out our room yet again in preparation for the carpets tomorrow. Will go ballistic if they cancel again. I'm so sick of the mess, I just want to get straight again.

Bought some cupboard paint from Wilko for the bedside cabinet. No idea when I'll get time to do it though as this weekend will be all about getting the house straight.

  • Sorry you're ill SA, there seems to be a lot of it about it about at the moment :(.

I really hope your carpets get fitted this time, you want the house to look good for Christmas :).

Just a thought on the oven - it was nothing to do with the timer was it. I remember mine not working several years ago and some littlies that had visited had pressed a combo of buttons by flooky chance and oven wouldn't work till dh did something to override it.

Hope you have a shiny new wardrobe now and will be able to get yourself sorted.

Take care in the ice - it's been lethal around here.
