Hopefully the shunt drops the pressure quickly and you see an improvement when you visit.

Thanks everyone - what fantastic encouragement you all are! Very much appreciated.

Mr SA is back on the road to recovery. Sat up in bed, still very wobbly, but a whole lot better than the other night. Another scan due today to check shunt is still doing its job. Fighting back after yet another setback!

Friday is the tidy up finances day so I've put the Halifax Reward of £5 into my VSP which now stands at £214.91 and paid another £20 off Barclaycard which now stands at £770. Need to pay another £110 off by next payday to hit my target of paying £330 a month off to clear it. Cleared the Tesco spending card too so back to £0 on that. Managing to stick to my budget so far.

No sign of the £43 they took too much plus the £43 compensation from nPower yet but I guess it'll take a few days to appear in my account.

Not good news tonight - doctor told us tumour has grown, not responded to chemo as they hoped. They are starting one more lot of very aggressive chemo tonight but if that doesn't work then their options are limited. Luckily his sister was there with me. Doctor said sorry it's not good news. Not half as sorry as I am. Absolutely stunned. Didn't expect this. Gutted. However can't write him off yet - hopefully this new type of chemo will work - please. Fingers crossed.

I'm on my own- sort of. DD has gone to bed upset and DS came round with a bottle of wine for me. His sister offered to stay but I've got used to being on my own and her staying wouldn't help - she's crying too much. Plus I'm not writing him off yet. Dog is cuddling up to me on sofa and we are watching TV.

    Thanks both for your support.
