Sorry you’ve had a really trying day today SA. I’m one of those with no transport so I do a bulk shop online once a month mostly. I find Tesco cheapest for me and I must say when I have had a problem their customer service department has been pretty good, I.e. quick to refund and I’ve also had vouchers from them in the past. Overall though I’ve had an excellent service.
Great MSE news though on Mr SA’s cream - you’ll certainly save some pennies now with L’Oreal! :T

Watched a fab firework display on the park across the road from the comfort of my sofa last night
One plus point of living at the top of a hill is a clear view of everyone's fireworks
The fur babies were fine with the noise, I think now people let off fireworks all year round they've just got used to it.
Got loads to do today. Wipe the woodwork upstairs ready for the painter tomorrow, finish painting the skirting boards in the bedroom (painter not doing our room), meal plan, finances, clean up.
Going to post November goals shortly when I go on laptop.
Have a good Sunday folksI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Finally got time to list these.
12 alcohol free days
12 no spend days
12 lunchtime gym sessions
House
Finish hall, stairs and bedrooms - decorating/carpeting/etc (this is starting to drag on a bit now). Got loads of bits and bobs to buy eg duvet cover, curtains, etc - only have a small amount left in the refurbishment pot so will need to bag some bargains!
Strip wallpaper off in dining room, possibly paint if walls are good enough/there is enough time.
Declutter the cupboard in the dining room - have got into the habit of just shoving things in there to tidy up and it's got out of hand!
Finances
Actually put some money in savings this month :rotfl:
VSP has now been released for Christmas shopping, already spent £92.20. At it's peak I had just over £700 in there, not bad for a year of just putting odd bits and bobs in there. Sounds a lot but it's surprising how quick it goes down! Will be starting a new one this month for next Christmas.
Need to put £300 towards April holiday as have to pay the balance off in January.
Keep a track of everything I spend - stick to budgets!!!
Other
Day off at the end of November to go Christmas shopping (or just wander round the shops)
Write down everything I eat/drink on WW tracker, stick to points!
Need to lose 5lbs to get back to goal.
Upcoming events
Hairdressers - 11 November
Flu jab and dentist - 13 November (both in the same afternoon!)
Local Christmas Fayre - 26 November - I missed this last year as I was in hospital
Day off for Christmas shopping - 28 November :jI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Loving the November organisation post SA!!! Have a great Sunday xxMummytogirls x0

The plan was to have a no spend day today. However, I really need to be getting on with buying stuff to finish off the house. So have bought two duvet sets from Dunelm, a bed, sheets, pillowcases, pillow, curtains, curtain pole and a couple of bathroom bits from Argos. Thanks to Argos having 20% code off indoor furniture and the £75 voucher from the life insurance, this has meant that everything I've bought today has cost less than I had budgeted for the bed alone - plus of course I went through TCB :money::j
I've cleaned the upstairs woodwork, getting the dried plaster off was quite hard work in places. While I was hard at work Mr SA was playing a game on his phone. As soon as I came downstairs he asked was I doing lunch, if so he'd have cheeseburger and chips
I mentioned I'd got a lot to do this afternoon and could he give me a hand, his toe is suddenly hurting and he's gone to bed.
Not heard from the carpet bloke that came out to measure up last week. As the carpets need to be fitted before the bed comes on 23 November, I think I'll ring the people who did the stair carpet last year as at least I know they've got some offers on and won't be expecting me to pay £25 sq metre.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
