To be honest I probably won't end up buying that much, I'll just enjoy the potter round a different town centre, going for a coffee and lunch. I tend to do most of my Christmas shopping online or pick it up on the way home from work.
We're doing a fab thing at work for Christmas where we buy toiletries and they go into goody bags for homeless people or old people in hospital. Just basics like toothpaste, shower gel etc. Already bought one item.
Another sneaky lunch out with work team todaySpent a grand total of £1.50 on a bowl of sweet potato fries as manager bought a bottle of Prosecco to share
We've vowed to do this more often.
Work lotto has been wound up as person who ran it has gone to live in Spain. I was going to take over running of it but decided it was too much hassle. We had joint winnings of £100 so this has gone on lotto tickets tonight and tomorrow. £100 worth of Lucky Dips
Mr SA has been moaning about his toe. Unfortunately I have no sympathy as my ankle is still hurting and swollen almost a year after he ran me overI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Well I've had a day and a half today. It started as it meant to go on with my Mr M delivery at 8am. I ordered Tassimo Kenco coffee pods which they substituted with Dolce Gusto coffee pods - two totally different machines!!!!! Crazy!!! By contrast the dog food I ordered was out of stock so they sent nothing! The milk had leaked too in one of the bags. I rang customer services but they weren't that interested, said a computer picks the subs. So no joy
Despite Mr SA and DD being in yesterday I had a Royal Mail card through the door, sorry you were out. Went to fetch it today, walked 40 minutes in the pouring rain, got soaked
DS and the grandkids came this afternoon and quite frankly DGS was an absolute nightmare. He was just going through the house picking things up and throwing them on the floor, he even took all the coal off my gas fire, made a right mess with them. I'd bought them some craft things and DGD and DD were sitting making things and colouring, all he wanted to do was destroy everything. Every time anyone took something off him he screamed. I was glad when they went home!
One of Mr SA's meds had run out so went to the chemist to pick them up - not there! Explained he'd taken the last one, chemist said doctors hadn't authorised the prescription. This is the second time this has happened recently. Anyway the chemist let me have a five day emergency supply while I sort it out with the doctors.
Mr SA's Clinique cream ran out today so I ordered him one online from Debenhams as they had 15% off so £27 instead of £32, still expensive though. So to tide him over, I got him a L'Oreal for men cream for sensitive skin, only £3.99 from Savers. He's just informed me he prefers the L'Oreal one. Too late to cancel the order as it's despatched, although I think I'll be able to return it as long as it's unopened.
On the plus side I lost that pesky half a pound at WW so am back to not paying again
I will really need that glass of wine tonight!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Quickly passes the wine.
Those substitutions are a joke.

Oh my goodness what a day . Open the wine quick .
Are the chemist, post office, Mr M and your family in a conspiracy to ruin your day?
That is one reason why online doesn't suit me, although I know it's hard when you don't have transport.
On the plus side think how much money you can save if you buy Mr SA the L'oreal cream in futureFinally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Mr M used to be really good with the substitutions, you hardly got any, but recently they've started doing them regularly. By far the worst is Mr A.
Alas I have no choice with the heavier stuff due to no transport so I'm at their mercy.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Well it is a godsend for people without transport. Hope you have a relaxing evening to make up for a tiring dayFinally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
