    Thanks all.

I had a lovely lunch today, only out an hour then back to work, but nice nonetheless. Went into a meeting to take notes, emerged a couple of hours later to find the rest of the team had gone home early as it's payday. Charming!

The £75 voucher will be used towards house stuff, still need a few things.

Taff - DD doesn't get home from work until 9pm and I wouldn't fancy eating anything she'd cooked anyway as she eats her main meal at work in the canteen then just has a snack when she gets home. I don't cook for her. I wish Mr SA would be a bit more helpful in the house, he's at home all day, although he has limited mobility, I managed to still get things done with a cast on last year.

Forgot to mention yesterday, the nurse who dressed Mr SA's toe, looked at me and said "haven't I plastered you recently". He recognised me.

Another funny incident in the taxi back home, the driver exchanged pleasantries and I told him Mr SA had broken his toe. He was quiet for a bit then asked "which part of body is toe'. Took me ages to explain and we finally agreed on finger of the foot as an explanation :)

The dog has driven me mad tonight barking at trick or treaters - I made up 16 bags of treats and there's only 1 left! There were some brilliant costumes though.

As it's payday we've had a pizza tonight - Lidl's finest, I got Mr SA a Halloween beer and I've got a mini bottle of wine :) Felt like I needed to do something to make it a bit special even if my wages are in and out the bank faster than the SAS!

My fridge is almost empty but trying to last until Mr M shop on Saturday.

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

Hidden - you do way more than I do. I'm so busy at work, in the evenings I'm too exhausted to do anything other than cook and a quick wipe round the kitchen.

    Hi Sun Addict

Thought I would pop over to your diary to say hello.

Don't minimise what you achieve. After all you have the sole responsibility for the household management and emotional maintenance.

Yes, I live in Nottingham and have done for eight years. I have almost got used to being called "duck".

    Have a good week

  • If Mr Sun is cognitively capable of doing basic cookery and just refuses to, I would 100% not be cooking him a separate meat meal every night. He can eat what you eat or cook for himself.
