It will be so worth it SA.

Hope the builder can get in touch with the kitchen fitter. What is wrong with people nowadays just seem to think its acceptable to ignore people!! DH has this alllll the time with his plumber friend!

Re the hair washing would you be able to boil the kettle and wash over the kitchen sink? Do you have a kitchen sink?!

    Keep going!!! xx

No we don't have a kitchen sink or indeed a kitchen anything :( We won't even have a bathroom sink after tomorrow. It will be a washing up bowl job :(

I have a hair plan - will try putting it into a ponytail overnight to see if that tames it. Seriously my hair is huge in the morning - think the small one from diversity - the one they throw about all over the place!

    Ooh good idea Verbatim :)

No bathroom at all now, just a toilet and a bucket of water for flushing purposes :( Have bought a cheap washing up bowl and some flannels, will have to be a good old fashioned strip wash tonight and tomorrow morning. Bathroom should be reinstated tomorrow. New window is in and bathroom walls and ceiling boarded and ready for plastering. Boiler is fitted now.

We caved in and went to Spoons tonight. Not bad £13 for burger, chips and beer for Mr SA and veg lasagne, salad and wine for me. Mine was ok, Mr SA loved his. Salad tomorrow night I think.

Unbelievably Mr SA rang me at work to ask where his lunch was - I couldn't be bothered to make it was the reply!!!!

We have a working toilet!! Nothing else though. Rest of the bathroom goes in tomorrow, the boiler should be up and running too.

Thankfully a kitchen fitter has been sourced.

Things are very slowly taking shape.

One plus point I sat outside and had a coffee at 5am this morning. It was so quiet I could hear the rumble of planes taking off at the airport 12 miles away (on a clear day you can just see it from our back garden we are so high up).

Tonight we've had salad, I managed to cook some pizza left over from Friday in the Breville Halo.

Forgot to add - did Zumba today after work, getting easier as ankle is improving. Also walked to work and went out for a walk at lunchtime. Getting to the stage where I need to put my daily step target back up to 16,000 on my Fitbit as smashing it most days easily now :)

Just catching up!! Wow!! You're doing brilliantly. Managing steps, to cook out of a non existent kitchen and (vaguely ;)) keep Mr SA out of mischief safe and fed!! Sounds wonderful. Do share some photos when it's done:)

Coffee like that is a wonderful part of summer isn't it. I am shattered today alarm went at 5:15. But waking up now. No caffeine as yet today.. will change that the minute I get into work!!

    Have a good day x
