Looking for the silver lining

Today has been quite productive. Have been cooking and getting some meals prepared for the week ahead: cottage pie and a beef casserole for Mr SA, butternut squash risotto and butternut squash, chickpea and spinach curry for me. That will see us through to Wednesday. I've also made 3 days worth of soup for work lunches out of some left over veg.
Trying to get back on the WW waggon, so have started filling in my tracker again. Only 8 weeks to holiday and want to lose 7lbs by then.
Have done my finances, credit card is super scary at the moment but will be clear on payday - the August holiday is on there plus the deposit for the October one. Once the extra mortgage payment starts next payday I'll have to be really careful, there won't be much wiggle room. Grocery budget on track at the moment.
Hoping by this time next week the house will be a lot further ahead.
Mr SA is currently watching the Grand Prix upstairs/having his afternoon nap and I'm downstairs relaxing with my feet in my foot spa - bliss.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Good to read the building work is coming along nicely. It will be lovely once done and congrats on resisting the budget busting option of eating out every night (or takeaway).
Re holidays payments, I always use our current account as don't holiday companies charge an extra percentage or two to pay by credit card?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

Can you believe an old coin - I think it's a three penny bit - has literally dropped from my kitchen ceiling, almost into my lovely stir fry. How weird is that? Going to clean it up and have a better look at it. Head side is the Queen looking very young.

I have :rotfl: :rotfl:
I stopped to do the dinner, then thought I'd bath the kids first, then went for a shower myself and now I'm doing my hair waiting for Ed instead of actually finishing the ironing that should have been done at least 5 hours ago:rotfl: :rotfl:
