I love hot weather but don't like working in it. No rain here yet.

The tiles have gone from the bathroom and most of the kitchen has gone. The whole house is filthy, dust everywhere. It will take me ages to get it all clean. Missing having a bath, it's my relaxation time at the end of the day. Keep telling myself it will be worth it in the end.

I've been asked to go to London again, not told Mr SA, no point until I know when. Would be good if it was while the building work is going on. What a shame if I had to stay over a couple of nights :)

  • We had amazing thunderstorms at about 6am this morning. Lightening knocked the electricity out for 3 hours . We then had very heavy showers again at about 9.30am for an hour, but it's been dry since.

Hope you can find something else to do to relax while the bath is gone Xx

Still doing a rain dance here... although I have put it on hold until after the open air concert tonight :rotfl::rotfl:

Just keep chanting it will be lovely in the end... I remember the dust, but still get excited when I think we can do things in the house...

The kitchen ceiling has gone but we still have the oven :) Dust everywhere even inside the fridge!! Getting to the stage where it's difficult to prepare dinner but not caving in and going to the pub until it's desperate. New boiler and radiators have arrived so the hall is crammed.

Can you believe that there is no reprieve at work as the water is off in our kitchen area and we're having to go to another floor! Honestly they do everything on the cheap where I work and the equipment isn't up to the number of people using it and is always breaking down.

Mr SA has been a wealth of unreliable information re the buildings works. Don't even ask :(

IT will be worth it in the end and repeat ......

The cat keeps staring at the missing ceiling in the kitchen. She's not happy.

Weird thing happened tonight - a thrush fished a newt out of our pond and ate it, didn't know birds ate newts, quite upsetting to be honest, I like our newts. It's not as if we don't leave them a load of seed out, now they're pinching our newts :(

What are you like LOL :) We might well be by next week! To be honest I did think it would be a good time to do a meal replacement type diet, don't think it would go down well with Mr SA or DD though (although they both could do with losing weight - oops did I say that!!)
