I've had a mostly relaxing day. Not been anywhere except for taking the dog out locally. First NSD of June. 11,440 steps done. Made a vegetable lasagne from the Hairy Dieters Go Veggie cookbook. Made pulled pork for Mr SA. Paid off cc
Watching the One Love concert, enjoying it, shame about the circumstances that that gave rise to it
Glad I've got the day off tomorrow. Hopefully I'll get the refurbishment finances sorted and get a good deal. Going to cancel bus pass and book skip tomorrow.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Have a nice day off
Concert was good wasn't it! The amount of police here was crazy! I've never seen so many at an event before. They where even walking the streets here and I'm a good 15 minutes away from the arena. All in good spirit too.0 -
Weather awful here today, windy, raining and gloomy
Mortgage all sorted, had the additional borrowing on a 7 year term, repayments will be a bit higher than I'd hoped but will cost less in the long term. Still cheaper than the personal loan I was looking at with my bank. Interest rate is fixed for 5 years and my aim is to pay off the balance then. I can overpay by 10% a year. While I was on the phone I switched the main mortgage to a 5 year deal too and somehow this has generated £100 cashback. I've got headache now, my head is spinning after a 2 hour phone call and all the interest rate jargon.
Will need to be more careful with wildly nilly spending - no more going free range, but it will be worth it. It has given me the kick up the butt I need to go for promotion too as the extra wages will cover the loan easily.
Skip is booked for Friday, this is to clear out DD's room mainly but also to get rid of some garden rubbish. Bus pass direct debit has been cancelled so that's freed up £50 a month.
Best of all have got a start date for the building work - 2 weeks todayI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
