The alcohol free red wine actually did taste like Ribena Southern Gal :) Only had one glass - the rest of it is still in the fridge, I'd rather have herbal tea to be honest.

Since I last posted Mr SA has had two falls and a sickness bug :( None the worse for wear though.

In better news, the washer was fixed and washing all done and dried, the skip is here, just waiting for DD to start clearing her room. Mr SA put some things in the skip, duly retrieved by scrap man, I don't mind it's recycling and leaves more room in the skip for more of our rubbish.

Manic day at work, to say I have sedentary job have been up and down all day, done over 20,000 steps. Short staffed due to annual leave.

  • Hope DD utilises the skip asap!

    Have a lovely weekend Xx

Hope Mr SA is feeling better now.

The skip arriving must feel like things are taking a huge step to be started now.

Mr SA is ok now folks. His immune system is rubbish and he picks up every bug going. Falls wise he hurt his shoulder but not too bad.

Need to fill and get rid of skip before a week on Monday when the builder's skip arrives. DD has the week off work and has promised to clear her room.

Can't believe building society are sending surveyor next Wednesday to do full survey for £15k extra borrowing. House will be a tip as starting to pack up kitchen and bathroom. Hope surveyor is aware work is to be done and won't say needs new kitchen, bathroom, boiler, etc and down value it. Starting to wish I'd gone for personal loan, I'm sure there wouldn't have been all this palaver. Plus they have now asked for copy of my wage slip and Mr SA's benefits statements three times now!! I know they have to be careful but remortgage is less than 25% value of house and if the worst came to the worst we could sell up and move to a smaller place - our house is in an area where houses sell as soon as they go on sale.

Plans for the weekend: WW tomorrow then skip filling, packing up kitchen/bathroom and decluttering. Next week: 3 days in office then London Thursday, Friday off.

Busy weekend for you SA!!! Is this standard practise with the re-mortgaging then? I haven't re-mortgaged since the recession so assuming it is xx

I know banks are more careful these days (rightfully so in my opinion) but asking for the same information three times seems a bit over the top. Building societies are still more cautious than banks so whether the house needs a new valuation depends on your lender. Some don't bother especially if low DTV.

Lender is Nationwide. I thought it would be a drive by valuation so surprised it's a full one. Hope they will take into account work to be done.

DD not doing any clearing of room until Monday!! She annoyed me today as she was playing on computer game all day and couldn't be bothered. Why Monday is the magical day I don't know. She has been warned must be done by Wednesday.

Put half a pound on at WW :( But won the raffle :)

Weather here has been dull all day with spots of rain in the wind. Not very summery :(
