Ah Co-codamol always makes me sleepy too! Hope you're feeling better very soon, and I echo everyone else in wishing the best for Mr SA's scan results!

    Good morning Sun.A, :hello:

Hope you're resting today; that ankle sounds horribly sore still! You might find the OtC version of co-codamol doesn't make you sleepy [for when you're back at work]: So!padeine which contains caffeine in the mix.. The fizzy soluble version usually takes effect within about ten minutes too. ;)

Also, you're certainly much more comfortable at home [central heating!] than you would be in Lanzarote at the moment - Iberian holiday flats/hotels generally being designed to repel heat rather than the intense cold currently being experienced a lot further South than usual!

Glad you survived MrSA's scan trip - am keeping all digits crossed along with everyone else, hoping you and he get a good result at his follow-up appointment.

Cuddles to your four-footed companion. :)

Thanks for that Robin, I didn't realise solpadeine was a version of co-codamol, worth knowing for future reference. It's not making me feel as sleepy as it did at first so must be getting used to it, although I had a decent night's sleep last night which may have something to do with it.

Sitting with my feet up, flight sock on, wheat bag on ankle and painkillers taken. I must say the tablets make you feel very relaxed :)

Moved my Mr M weekend delivery to today, was supposed to be another small delivery but appear to have had a moment of madness and ordered loads of stuff :( Struggled to fit everything in fridge and freezer! What on earth was I thinking of? I think it's fair to say we're well stocked up and can live off what we've got with only very small shops until end of month at least. My trouble is when something I usually buy is on offer I go mad stocking up. I need to retrain/restrain myself to buy only what we need for the week.

Full fridges and freezers always make me feel really extravagant - which is such a silly thing to feel extravagant about...

Anyway, today sounds much pleasanter and more relaxed than yesterday, so I'm glad about that for you!

So glad I decided to take yesterday and today off work. Feel much better for it.

Finally going to post off Mr SA's gold bracelet to Hatton Garden Metals plus a couple of items of mine I don't wear and should get over £500 :) Of course Mr SA then started on the watch pester again, excuse being he needs something to show for getting rid of his bracelet then he will put the rest towards a holiday. Gave in to him then he remembered the man bag he was after a couple of weeks ago. His memory is rubbish for most things but this sort of thing and money he is well up on! Guess that part of his brain is still firing on all cylinders! Found the bag he was on about on Sports Direct site then noticed they had got some Ugg-type boots for £20 which I reckon would be comfortable for my ankle. The only trainers I can get on that foot rub terribly on my scar. So I ordered them too, hopefully they'll do the trick, got a size bigger than normal just in case. I don't actually like this style of boots that much but needs must at the moment. I remembered to go through Top Cashback in both instances.

So a very spendy day today without even leaving the house! However, at least the money will be recouped when the jewellery is sold.

Sorted out finances as it's one of those weeks when a lot of the money comes in, everything but my wages as it happens. Mr SA's PIP and ESA, DD's board and the latest lot of my taxi expenses have gone in the bank. VSP now holds £29.03 and have paid another chunk off the Tesco card - just need to completely clear it on payday.

    Happy weekend everyone :)

Years ago Mr SA always bought me gold for Xmas or birthdays, always good quality. I don't wear most of it now, some of it I don't like anymore, some is dated. That's it now though, I've sent in everything I don't wear. Sent Mr SA to post office with it yesterday so it's gone now.

Ankle feeling loads better. Weird thing is Friday I rested it most of the day and it hurt a lot that night, yesterday I was walking about quite a bit and it didn't hurt at all. I think I need to strike a balance as it seizes up when I don't move it.

Sports Direct stuff arrived and the boots are actually much nicer than I thought, although still not that comfortable on my ankle, I guess everything will rub until the swelling goes down.

Need to get my a$$ in gear with WW points now. Have gone off track, dread weighing myself (not doing it while there's swelling as it might weigh something), although not been eating a lot as I don't really get hungry due to not moving much. With hindsight it would've probably been a good time to order something like Diet Chef for a couple of months to save me cooking, especially when I'm not that bothered what I eat at the moment.

Back to work tomorrow :( Physio on Friday morning, hoping to be more mobile by then, I'm now walking (hobbling!) round the house without the crutches so that's an improvement. Have reset my Fitbit from 16000 steps a day goal to 5000 and have been smashing that. Will gradually start upping my steps until I reach 10000. Don't worry I won't overdo it.

Hope everyone is having a fab weekend.

I know I should've waited until we got the scan results but a villa with own pool with Villa Plus was on sale £339 for the week in Puerto del Carmen w/c 30 March, good flight times and villa is 110 yards from main strip on the same road as the hotel we usually go to but right at the bottom of the road, across the road from a supermarket. Handy for bars/restaurants/shops just in case I'm still hobbling. With flights total £844. Don't think I could better that. So booked it. Originally wanted to go for Mr SA's birthday in April but not available. Should've heard something by now from scan if anything amiss so took a chance. Off to book insurance now.
