Hello all!
Well Mr SA didn't make it coming home for the weekend. He still can't do stairs due to his dodgy knee and he now has a chest infection. Last night his temperature was 40 degrees but tonight it was 36.4 after antibiotics. He might be able to come home next week so fingers crossed! Spoke to his consultant last night and the steroids have done their job and tumour has shrunk considerably. Good news!
NPower have offered me £68 to square off what I owe to make it £200 after making a payment of £154 yesterday. I will be paying another £154 on thev1 June so might square off the outstanding balance of £46. I am pleased with their service. Good job I mentioned it on here.
I have been in town this morning and have spent too much on bits and bobs some needed and some not. I just felt like treating myself as was so fed up. Mr SA told me to go out and treat myself out of his tax rebate. I didn't go mad however and to be honest I'm really pleased with my "haul" and got some good deals eg summer jacket from Debenhams 40% off.
How lovely was the weather today! It's meant to be even better tomorrow so will be doing the garden and sunbathing.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Hello all! Hope everyone is enjoying the lovely bank holiday weather.
Mr SA's temperature was normal by Saturday morning and infection has gone. He is looking and feeling a lot better in himself but is really fed up and bored. He is currently on rescue treatment again after second lot of chemo. He feels fine - no ill effects. His voice has come back too which is fantastic! Maybe the tumour was affecting his vocal chords.
Spent all day yesterday gardening so it's looking a lot better now.Just got a bit more to do today. I'm really pleased with my efforts. This morning I've done a Mr T shop for Wednesday night and I've got to do a bit of tidying up in the house as well as walking the dog so won't be at a loose end!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Hi all
Andrea hope you're feeling better soon. TV is free in his unit and he has Internet on phone included in package. However he can't concentrate on anything for too long. Don't know whether this is down to steroids, tumour or generally being institutionalised in hospital.
Mr SA was fine again tonight - albeit a bit confused and very fed up. His walking is really coming on but stairs are still his nemesis.
Did some more gardening today - nearly finished now just a little bit more to do.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Hi everyone!
Mr SA will be coming out of hospital this weekend!! Maybe tomorrow. I'm at home today off work awaiting the arrival of his mobility aids. He will only have to go back to hospital for chemo now. I'm hoping if it's tomorrow that it can wait until the afternoon so I can go into work and fill in a holiday form and sort things out. I will take a few days off to get him settled in but the hospital are sorting out someone to pop in to see if he's ok when I go back. He's really happy to be coming home but as he's still a bit confused I personally think it's going to be a lot of hard work for me!
Moneywise I'm waiting for payday tomorrow so I can sort things out. Typical that I renewed my bus pass for a month last week and won't really be needing it after tomorrow as I'll go back to walking everywhere again. Oh well - at least I can use it until it runs out. Although doubt I'll be going far as I'll need to keep an eye on Mr SA. Downside is my days of freedom are over (does that sound horrible?).
At the moment trapped in the house waiting for this equipment, dog is playing up because she's seen a squirrel in the garden and is on guard duty and won't come in house. Part of me is pleased because Mr SA is finally well enough to come home and the other part of me feels like getting the next plane outa here!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
