    Hello folks

Can't believe it's a week since I last updated. Just another typical busy week with hardly any spare time. Survived my first full week back at work and the holiday is now a distant memory.

However, good news is I've booked us another holiday at the end of September. :j We're going back to that hotel in Lanzarote we went to in January - all inclusive. It's cheap and cheerful compared to the hotel in Majorca but the rooms and balconies are spacious, it's right in the centre of Puerto del Carmen and we know the food is good. And both of us adore Puerto del Carmen. Need to really knuckle down and save to pay for it though - have worked out a plan, just need to be careful with money for a few weeks. Feel a bit guilty booking another holiday when so much needs doing to the house but hey ho - the house will get done eventually.

Bought the travel insurance £31 for us both for the week which is good to say it covers Mr SA's condition.

Talking of the house I'm going to phone the building society and try to get an appointment for next week to sort out a remortgage.

Weight-wise I didn't go to WW this week as I knew I'd stayed the same and I didn't get back from work until late. Will go next week though. Still struggling a bit getting back into it so need to up my game and get to goal - only 5lbs to go.

Finance wise, got to stick to budgets now as all extra money will be earmarked for the holiday. VSP now holds £510.81.

Mr SA is fine, no mishaps this week apart from forgetting he had his hair cut last week and going to have it cut again this week.

DS came to see us yesterday with DGD and DGS. We took DGD on the park across the road which she loved but she had a right tantrum when it was time to go.

Plans today are to take the dog out, possibly go for a coffee, do some weeding, relax in the sunshine.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

    Good morning Sun.A, :hello:

You do sound happy to have your next trip away booked up already - it glows through your words and is wonderful! :D

Thanks to everyone who reacted so kindly to my previous comment further up the page - already "liked" at some point but must have been sometime when Muggins was very over-tired because don't remember doing it at all!

Weather forecast 32 degrees and sunny for tomorrow so have booked the day off work :)

Set Mr SA the task of planting two plants I'd bought for the garden today - he forgot :( I really don't know what he does all day, there is no evidence of anything at all. Watches the Dave channel, stares into space and sleeps I think.

    Good morning folks

Another week has flown by. I had a lovely lazy day off Tuesday, sitting in the sun all day more or less. The thermometer at the bottom of our garden got up to 40 degrees in the afternoon. It was so nice to just have a day to do very little.

Then back to work Wednesday and busy busy busy.

MTG - I book a holiday whenever I can as we need to make the most of Mr SA being relatively healthy. Whenever I feel guilty that I should be saving the money I just think back to 3 years ago. It does both of us the world of good to get away too.

Made an appointment to see a mortgage adviser on Wednesday to see how the land lies for a re-mortgage. Fingers crossed it will be do-able otherwise I've got some serious saving to do!

At WW stayed the same. Trying to get back on track now. The leader has confirmed I don't need to pay anymore as within 5lbs of my goal weight as a Gold Member.

Hardly got anything done yesterday as we were out in town, Mr SA wanted to see the beach they have made in town, then when we got back it was too hot. So got loads to do today.

Need to look at finances now - at least it's payday next week.

    Another week gone!!!!

All is well, I spoke to building society about remortgage and, as I suspected, they can't help until I've got something in writing from work and have some quotes. But they gave me some figures to give me a rough idea and sounds do-able.

I've joined a gym near work £14 a month. Will be going to lunchtime classes - spinning, kettle bells, circuits and abs. All classes only 30 minutes so ideal.

Have been far too spendy over the last few days, tempted by sales I'm afraid.

Feel like I'm getting things sorted slowly.

Mr SA is ok, he's had a couple of falls and has been a bit incoherent, but otherwise ok. I fell over on the way to work today, same stretch of pavement as earlier in the year. No damage done thankfully. Damn uneven paving slabs.
