Hope you feel more rested now, SA! How about having a monthly meal-planner that just rolls on? No need to stick absolutely rigidly to it if you pick up a bargain. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0

Can't believe it's almost a week since I last posted. Time flies when you're having fun. The week has flown by.
My old cat is still going strong and is a lot better than he was.
Mr SA is fine apart from him falling through the torn canvas of an old deckchair and getting stuck. Apart from that he hasn't really had any falls since he got the scooter which is brilliant. He's got his brain scan on Tuesday, he hasn't mentioned it lately so I think he's forgotten about it, so I won't remind him just yet.
I finally got my Silver 7 at WW and my 5% certificate. I've now lost 7.5lbs and the leader said I need to think about my goal weight. So I might declare it done after another 3lbs and then I won't have to pay any more. Then I can always go 5lbs under if I want to. Already my clothes are a lot looser.
As the weather has been so nice this weekend I have been doing jobs outside most of the time and the garden is getting back in shape now. Shame it's not the bank holiday this weekend.
Finances are not looking so great and a serious sort out on that front is needed. Skint until Mr SA's money goes in tomorrow then we will have to be careful for the rest of the month. On a positive note my VSP now has £351.56 in it and today has been a no spend day.
Have got the Sunday blues and can't believe it's back to work tomorrow for a full week (apart from leaving early on Tuesday for the scan). Only 6 weeks until Majorca now so that's one good thing.
Really need to catch up with other diaries now.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Wasn't going to remind Mr SA about his scan until tomorrow but his sister has just mentioned it to him on the phone. He'd forgotten about it. So now he'll be worrying all night.
Went on a meditation and mindfulness taster session today at work. I'll be honest and say I found it quite boring. So I won't be signing up for the 8 week course.

firstly I went  for sister's reminderto the mindfulness tastier as I am training to be a mindfulness teacher, and I find it very helpful to manage both stress and pain. However, I am on an 8 week course at the moment, with an uninspiring teacher, so can appreciate how it may have come across.

Back from the scan - Mr SA is tired out. Now just got to wait for the results. Hopefully that's it for another 6 months.
I have had some fantastic news work-wise today. I'm being taken off my contract and TUPE'd into my job, keeping my service, holidays and pension. :j I know this has been ongoing since last year but it's finally officially happening this year - end of September/early October time. This will more or less mean that I now have a safe job until I retire :j And I can now think about that re-mortgage for a new kitchen, bathroom and boiler. Can't tell you how relieved I am.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Excellent news :j0

Great news about your job, Sun.A - keeping fingers crossed that today turns out to be wonderful news all round and Mr SA's scan comes back clear! :T0

Sun Addict...that is AMAZING news...entirely deserved, and legally what you've been due for years but what great news and you can now rest a little easier. Fantastic. It's made my day
