Slept a lot better last night. Left work early today to meet up with a friend who has moved to the coast, which was lovely as haven't seen her for a while. Tomorrow I'm going out straight after work with my team for a drink and meal. Mr SA not happy about this but I've promised him I'll bring him fish and chips back which has calmed him down. I'm not exactly going on the razzle - we're all leaving work at 3.30 and I plan to be home by 7 at the latest.
Stayed the same at WW - really need to step up a gear now.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Enjoy your night

Had a fab time on the work meal today. They are such good company and lovely people to work with. I planned to be back home for 7pm but in reality I didn't get away from the restaurant until 7.30. They all went on for drinks but although I would've loved to have joined them I had to go. Got Mr SA his fish, chips and mushy peas - £7!!!!!!! It's years since I set foot in a chip shop, is this the going rate? He really enjoyed them though.
Not a lot else to report as I left home at 06.30 this morning and got back at 20.25. A very long day but a nice one nonetheless.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Hello everyone
So how did I do with my weekly challenge?
Steps target 112,000 - did 119,714 smashed it
Workouts 2/3
NSD 1/2
AFD 2/3
Lose 1.5lb - stayed the same
Decluttering 5/7
VSP now holds £275.76
So I will continue with the same targets for next week. All adding up to my monthly challenge of:
480,000 steps
12 workouts
8 NSD
12 AFD
Lose 4lb
Declutter 30 areas
Better write these down or I will forget!
I joined Bount - the get paid to walk/exercise site via the MSE weekly email. Decided it would be better for me if I upgraded to the premium rather than free plan as I do so many steps. It's £1.49 a month but I can earn up to £200 a year in vouchers as opposed to only £5/10 for the free version. I'll give it a go anyway.
Carpet shop came out today to measure up and estimate for stairs and landing carpet. Of course we've got an unusually long landing (we would have!!) so it will cost £323. Decided to go ahead though as the carpet will look lovely, have gone for an aqua stripe which is really bright. They can't fit it for another 4 weeks as they are so busy but that's ok, I've paid a deposit and will have to pay the balance once its fitted.
Mr SA was a bit rambling this morning and I noticed one of his eyes was only half open, which is what used to happen when he first got ill. Hopefully it was just because he was tired as he had the cheek to say he hadn't had much sleep because (a) I was breathing out garlic fumes and (b) I was sleeping diagonally across the bed. I just said now you know how I feel most mornings. There might have been garlic in my food - I had a veggie burger and salad, more likely to have been onions though and I do often sleep diagonally across the bed so he was probably right there

Can't believe I forgot to mention my bargain of the day - two steaks for Mr SA reduced to 50p each in our local Mr T Express. Stashed them straight in the freezer.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Hello SA! Really pleased you had an enjoyable evening and those steaks are a bloomin bargain! I never spot anything like that as hard as I try. Done eight hours marking today ready for the fray on Monday!!
Could you possiblly tell me how the VSP works? I am mystified but want to try it. Or point me to a thread?!
Off to rescue my tea from stripey cat now. Woof to your doggie and hello to everyone else. With family, friends and pets (or any combination of them) life will be fine!

Hello HJ. VSP is for example: when I get paid I skim off the oddment, same when Mr SA gets his benefits and whenever I get a Topcashback payment or the £5 a month I get from Halifax. There is a challenge thread on here if you want to join it. Last year I had over £700 and I used it to pay for Christmas. One thing I do is when I got a small, pay rise last year I ignored it and that goes into the VSP. Different people have different methods as you'll see on the thread. If I can I'll post a link.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
