Hello all
Back at work but only for 3 days - have booked Friday offNeed to finish off the decorating this weekend. Mr SA still feeling rough but he hopes to make a start on it before Friday. Payday on Thursday so can take my time sorting out finances early Friday morning before painting commences.
Feeling motivated todayHave been to Zumba, decluttered my undies drawer, used up an aubergine bake from the freezer that was lurking in an old ice cream tub (it was quite nice actually), tracked my points and have had an alcohol free night. Off to have a bath now and get an early night.

That's all sounds promising and certainly much more than I managed today!

Not a great night's sleep despite the early night. Mr SA might as well set up a bed in the bathroom the amount of times he goes. Every time I fell asleep he woke me stumbling about. This morning I called him a sleep thief. It's no fun when you have to get up at 5am.
That aside, he has got a bit of the painting done. It looks ok-ish. The walls really should've been plastered. You can see a lot of the uneven walls through the paint. I'm thinking along the lines of rustic. The colour is fab though - Lemon Tropics - very me.
Hopefully this means there won't be that much to do Friday as now the day will be dominated by Mr SA's appointments - the physio is coming plus the scooter people. Looks like he might get the scooter Friday. However, DWP have sent a letter today saying they have stopped the mobility part of his PIP until they have been notified by Motability. Hopefully this will be sorted soon. He now wants to cancel his Lifeline alarm now it's all been set up as he doesn't think he'll use it and it's costing too much.
Plus he's lost the £10 I gave him.
On a positive note I doubled up my Nectar points for £40 vouchers, got a kettle, kitchen scales and a wok - only put £7.50 towards itI've also decluttered another drawer, tracked my points and had the online shop delivered at £3.42 under budget

Do you have a spare room you can sleep in just for one night? Interrupted sleep is no good (says she who hasn't slept all night for about 7 years!!).
Boo to lost tenners. Could he have spent it? XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

My spare room is a gym - I could always put a sleeping bad on the treadmill
He can't have spent the money he never goes anywhere. It'll turn up somewhere daft no doubt. There is now an owl hooting very noisily in the back garden - hopefully it won't be doing it all night.

Gained half a pound at WW - not as bad as I'd feared after Easter indulgences. Back on track now.
Payday today - but had a scare when the wages weren't there until this afternoon. Not done anything with them yet, will sort tomorrow.
Day off tomorrow woo hooHairdressers on Saturday - normally afterwards I go for a coffee and a potter round the shops on my own but Mr SA said if he's got his scooter he will meet me. So bang goes my 6 weekly bit of time to myself.

Half a pound is nothing, especially over Easter! Well done.
Hope you still get some 'me time'. Can you go before the hairdressers or is your appointment too early? XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Happy April
Day off today - originally intended for decorating but hijacked by Mr SA's stuff. Physiotherapist came first followed by the scooter people. Mr SA loves his scooter thank goodness. Had to pay £100 non-refundable deposit so this has made quite a big hole in this month's budget. Had to be done though. He has already been out on it with me to walk the dog. However, the dog ended up sitting on his knee for the whole journey! At least I got some exercise
We managed to finish the first coat of paint on the walls and should be able to put a second coat on Sunday which will finish it off. I've booked in an electrician to renew 3 wall light switches and 3 ceiling pendants as they look very tatty and it will be a shame to put new lampshades on scruffy pendants. Another expense I know but it needs doing and I have some money in my house budget that will (hopefully) cover it. Next on the hit list for decorating is our bedroom although this will be expensive as we need a new bed, carpet and curtains. So will have to save for a while to get this done. Mr SA has had enough of decorating for a bit anyway.
Looking back on last month's goals:
12 alcohol free days - don't know how many I actually did but it wasn't as many as 12 that's for sure
8 no spend days - think I managed 3
Lose 5lb - lost 2.5 :undecided
Save £200 - saved £75 :undecided
12 workouts - I did 4 Zumba classes so target not hit
10,000 steps minimum a day - definitely did this and more, have reset my daily minimum on my Fitbit to 16,000 a day now. :j
SO - have decided to have weekly targets to break it down a bit. So this week's goals are:
16,000 steps a day = total weekly target 112,000
3 workouts
2 no spend days
3 alcohol free days
Lose 1.5lb
Declutter 7 areas
Stick to budgets
VSP now holds £270.76
Have relented with Mr SA and the meeting for coffee after hairdressers tomorrow as he is so desperate to use his scooter. Will make him come in Aldi with me though - he'll have to take the rough with the smooth - at least I can put my bag on the scooter.
Bought a Groupon offer today Shellac manicure/pedicure for £18, went through Top Cash Back too. Will book to have it done the day before we go on holiday. I usually pay about £40 - has saved me £22.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
