I kid you not I have pushed Mr SA in his wheelchair before with the dog on his knee! Attracted some smiles from passers by though.

Hello SA.... I wanted to post and say hello. I'm on page 75 of your diary and you are AMAZING!!!!!!!!! I've been reading on and off for the last two days and although I know you were fab I had absolutely no comprehension of just how stupendous you are!!! I have subscribed now and can't wait to totally catch up to the current time.

I hope you and Mr SA are having a lovely day. Giggled at the vision of the dog enjoying its ride. Me and DD have a 2 year old Yorkshire Terrier and he is endless fun! He loves out three cats and they all sleep together dotted around whichever bedroom they select out of mine and DD's!

Wishing you all the best. x

Aw thank you Hopefuljoy - my diary certainly turned out to be a lot more eventful than I thought it would be at the beginning! Just goes to show you never know what's waiting for you round the corner - my life took a turn for the worse live on air so to speak. I don't think I've got many posts to go before I have to start a new one so fingers crossed the next diary is really boring.

So ... Mr SA did fine on his scooter yesterday, took himself off to the barbers then came and met me at the local Costa. The weather was awful yesterday morning though, pouring with rain and quite cold. In the afternoon we had warm sunshine and we were sitting out in the garden - what a contrast. Spend nearly £20 in Aldi, mainly stocking up on meat for Mr SA which will keep him going for a while.

He came with me when I took the dog on the park across the road this morning and he was fine on his scooter, although he attracted no end of curious dogs.

Today we have finally finished the decorating :j The pictures are back up on the walls. I think we need a new carpet though, there are a few paint splashes on the old one and it looks quite tatty. A local carpet shop is doing a good deal £199 for stairs and landing carpet including fitting and underlay so I'm going to give them a ring tomorrow. I quite fancy a bright coloured striped one.

Then that's it spending on decorating until after summer. Next thing to concentrate on is the garden and saving up to do our bedroom up. It's never ending.

Today has been a no spend day - the first one of the week and month :)

Can't believe it's Monday already. What happened to my long weekend?

I'm always motivated on a Monday so today I've done workout number 1 of the week, decluttered 2 drawers in the bedroom (and even got an empty drawer - shock) and today is alcohol free day number 1 of the week (and month!).

Still motivated (just). Did my Zumba class after work, decluttered part of my wardrobe - the tops section, will do bottoms tomorrow, and alcohol free day 2. The last two days have also been low spend days :)

Mr SA's Lifeline was picked up today, he wanted to cancel it, reckons he won't use it as he can get himself up when he falls. I'm ok with this, I did think it was a bit excessive and felt we were pushed into it by the OT.

Decluttered the bottoms in my wardrobe, charity bag filling up nicely. Amazing how chipping away at it just a few minutes a day adds up. Mr M big shop today came in just under budget, however, this was mainly down to £15 off &More voucher.

Mr SA got a letter from Construction Industry Skills today saying it's time to renew his card. Made him feel down. Will have to let them know he won't be renewing.

Off to have a nice soak in the bath with a glass of wine in a bit. The past two nights I haven't had much sleep with this Sleepy Time herbal tea and no wine malarkey. All the tea has done is make me keep going to the loo in the night!

  • I remember when DH's cscs card ran out, he felt exactly the same :(.

Hope you enjoyed your bath Xx

I'm glad you're relaxing tonight!! I've had my wine for the week so it's an AFD today. It must be very difficult for Mr SA getting reminders of his past abilities. Best wishes to both of you.

Hope the dog is still enjoying his rides with Mr SA on the scooter though!!
