Hello all, sorry I've been AWOL for a few days. Just really busy - everything is ok. My knee is still sore from the fall last week.

This past week has just flown by and a lot of my spare time has been taken up with WW food tracking and exercising - happily not in vain as I lost 2lbs this week. :D

Mr SA is ok but still terrible mobility wise. He does absolutely nothing around the house to help me so I set him to the task of stripping the wallpaper off in the hallway - it's taken him 3 days to strip a section probably 2ft wide by 3ft long. Good job there's no immediate rush! He had another fall on Thursday trying to walk to the local shops to get me a Valentine's card. He only got a few metres away from the house, someone on a mobility scooter had to help him get up - you couldn't make it up - must've looked comical! So DS took us to Morrisons yesterday and he got me a card, flowers and a bottle of wine - I had to supervise the flowers choice as the ones he originally picked up were a bit past their best!

Work news - my contract has been extended until 31 July - so another stay of execution but does nothing for my security. I have been assured I'm still being taken in house but I don't trust them. I got another £20 Love to Shop voucher bonus for taking some very sensitive meeting notes at short notice. I was writing for 4 hours! I often get asked to do this sort of thing as they trust me to be discreet.

Mr SA's wheelchair has arrived and he wanted to go into town today for a coffee but as we were out yesterday afternoon and I was at the hairdressers in the morning, I really needed to catch up with the cleaning and admin.

Hope everyone is ok - I'm off to catch up with diaries now.

Sorry to hear things still bit shaky after your fall. Quite a shock. Glad Mr SA is looking forward to using the wheelchair though.

V pleased about your extension at work. It's another 6 months, take it step by step. Still think if you needed to you'd have a claim that you're effectively an employee now.

Have a good week, keep posting :)

Funnily enough Brizzle I'm thinking along the lines of as I'm doing exactly the same job as my colleagues who are "properly" employed, and the fact that I've worked there for just over 15 years on this stupid contract, if they tried to get rid of me I'd have a good case against them. The crazy thing is they're paying quite a lot more for me than they would if I was in house as the contractor has to make a profit.

Today has flown by and I haven't got anywhere near what I wanted to do. I haven't been staying on WW plan much either this weekend so I really must be good from now on. I made a gorgeous African vegetable stew from the WW cookbook tonight and also a lovely carrot and spinach soup for my work lunches. My meal plan for the week is done and pointed. I must say I'm really enjoying being back on WW and feel like I'm eating more than I did before. I've also done my finances and cleared my credit card.

Mr SA is happy because he's been watching the rugby and I got him some craft beer for Valentines. He's easily pleased :)

I thought that was illegal TBH.

Probably is Beanie. Not sure what's holding it all up but I know it's something to do with head office in London and legalities.

Forgot to mention I was going to surprise Mr SA by booking some tickets to see Rod Stewart in Birmingham in December. Thought we could stay overnight and make a bit of a weekend of it. The tickets are very expensive so I thought I'd run it past him first. He doesn't want to go :( He said go on your own! As if! Really wanted to go too:( He can be so boring at times. I haven't been to a concert since I went to see Culture Club in the eighties!

Maybe DH is a bit apprehensive about the crowds?
Mind you you could maybe get really good seats.
