Happy December!
Never mentioned this before but my dad left when I was 14 and I never heard from him again. I knew he was still alive as I'd had contact with his daughter from his second marriage via Genes Reunited a few years ago.
He sent me a Facebook friend request today.
What the hell do I do?????
Mr SA says leave well alone.
Mr SA had a "bit of a do" this morning when he had no idea where he was. It scared him.
Never a dull moment!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
What a decision to make SA
Take a few days then decide what feels right
Good Luck0 -
Thanks Debs that's just what I'm going to do. I think if he'd emailed me I would've replied but FB is so public. Most people I've told have said think about it first then do what I feel.
Had a nice catch up this afternoon with a friend who's moved to the coast. Tomorrow is the first work Christmas do.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Blimey that is a shocker.
I don't know what to say about that at all.
Enjoy the works doXXX

Sorry I wasn't around to help with your dilemma. Did your Dad send you a message too or just the friend request? Did you check your 'other' messages?
Hope you've enjoyed your Christmas night out and have a lovely weekend XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Still not decided what to do about my dad. I checked my FB messages and there's nothing there, just a friend request. I know accepting it doesn't mean I'll have to go and see him, he lives miles away in the north east anyway, but it just feels so weird after all this time - 40 years.
Had a lovely time on Friday and after the meal everyone went for drinks but I had to go home. Mr SA had had a fall in the garden and it was back down to earth with a bump.
We've stayed in this weekend, been no further than the local shops and park. Put the Christmas decorations up and caught up with various jobs. Luckily no floods here just windy. I really feel for those who have been affected. Mr SA 's mobility is now at the stage where he really needs to go back in a wheelchair I'm sorry to report. He virtually can't walk anywhere without either stumbling about or being wiped out after just a short journey.
Bought a digital/internet radio with some of my VSP and I love it. Set it up today to sync with my Spotify account. Love it how I can play my music on it via my iPad or iPhone. Feel quite techie now!
Got a full week at work next week (boo), got tons to catch up with before I break up, need to get cracking.
Now to catch up with other diaries ....I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Can't believe I forgot to announce I booked a holiday - we're off to Lanzarote on 17 January, back to the hotel we went to in April. Had to lend myself a bit towards it out of my ISA but all paid for, we got a good deal with Jet2, £240 off and went through Top Cashback so got £30.30 back too.
Speaking of Top Cashback, have got £58 winging its way to my bank from them.
Mr SA had yet another fall tonight trying to get to a bauble he'd knocked off the tree. Tomorrow is his first day minus the carer. He reckons he's happy about it but all I can think is what is he going to do all day on his own? However, the carer said he will ring him mid week to see if he wants to go for a coffee, hope he does.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Sorry to hear Mr SA's mobility is getting worse, bet you are dreading him being alone! Fingers crossed it goes better than imagined.
The Dad thing is a tough one and only you can decide. If ever you make the trek to the North East though I'll be there with a drink to meet you!!
Hope this week goes quickly for you. Are you off much over Christmas? XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Thanks Lucky xx He lives in Rowlands Gill (or something like that) do you know it? I break up 23 December, back on 5 January (4 January is Mr SA's consultant's appointment).I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

I certainly do know Rolands Gill SA. It's near one of the National Trust places we go to and not far from the Metro Centre shopping Centre.
Hope you have a lovely time off over Christmas XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
