Really pleased to hear about the TV and holiday

If I recall Mr SA was debating a mobility scooter.... I know there are companies in Lanzarote that hire them out, and you can get them delivered to the hotel.

I know doesn't really do it for street cred, however, he may enjoy feeling safe and less tired.

Thanks both - we've been looking into mobility scooter hire in Lanzarote actually. He's still not well, he's been sick a lot today. So no gym today.

So far this week I've had 2 AFD and 1 NSD.

It's about time things started to look bright for you. First the job, then holiday, and the TV. Good luck with the weight lose.:):T

Morning folks. Taking advantage of being up early and Mr SA still in bed so not peering over my shoulder to update.

He's still not too good, still being sick with upset tummy. It seems to happen in the day but at night he's fine.

Nothing much been happening this week. I've done 2 AFD and 2 NSD. Had a fab lunch out yesterday with some friends, it was so nice to have a gossip and feel normal for a bit. Mr SA kept phoning me though asking what time I was going home and how sick he felt. I'm starting to think there's a connection between him being sick and me being out of the house. For a moment I felt quite sad and trapped. I get the idea he really doesn't like me having a life outside him. But I really need some time for myself outside of work and him or I'll go round the twist.

Doing ok with the grocery budget so far. Weight loss wise I've stayed the same yet again. I'm beginning to wonder if the scales are stuck! I'd quite like some of those Fitbit scales but they're about £80. Will add to my list!

Today we're going on the train to see DS and co. GD is growing so fast now and turning into a proper little girl. All Mr SA is wondering is if he could squeeze in a coffee on the train before we take DS and family out for a coffee in their village :)

  • Congratulations on the AFDs and NSDs!

I assume Mr SA was home alone when he kept phoning you? Do you think that's what makes him nervous and then possibly sick? Such a shame your lunch out was interrupted and I get that you feel trapped.

Hope you have a lovely day with DS and DGD Xx

  • hello SA :)

I am glad you are still going out, you are right you will go round the twist if you don't see your friends. We all need to see our friends.

The sickness could be a sign of anxiety I suppose, could he have developed some kind of allergy to a food or coffee(!)

have a lovely day with the family :) xxxx

    Hi folks!

Lucky - he is only ever sick when he's on his own. Never when I'm there nor the carer.

Very spendy past 2 days - all on food and coffees out. Next weekend will be the same as it's hairdressers for me. Planning on having 2 low spend weeks after that to make up for it. Today is NSD 3/12. VSP is looking good at £144.26. Going to spend some time today going through the freezer and cupboards and making a meal plan. Going to make sure all my meals are pointed and on the tracker in advance.

Have a great Sunday everyone :)

That would make me think it's either a) anxiety related at being alone b) exertion from having to do everything for himself or c) something he says happens (but doesn't) to make you feel guilty at being out without him.

A thousand apologies if that offends Xx

Thanks Lucky - no it doesn't offend in the least. I'm inclined to think it's (c). He's always perfectly ok at the weekend, apart from his sometimes not making it to the toilet, he's never sick.

Good news - we've won £25 on the lotto :) First time we've won anything since it went up to £2, although we don't buy a ticket every week. That will go towards the expensive weekend coming up next week.

Mr SA's latest pester fest is he wants a pushbike. Bearing in mind he can barely walk a few yards even with his stick before he has to sit down and he has no balance or co-ordination. We live in a very hilly area and I daren't even think about him freewheeling down the steep hills let alone how he'd get back up them. Fed up with arguing with him about it I decided to call his bluff. Said to him why doesn't he hire a bike instead of a mobility scooter on holiday. I think it's fair to say he won't be pestering me about a bike again for a while :)
