This is the best news, lets hope Mr SA is discharged before xmas and you can both enjoy it.

Like you I have had a horrendous year and am so looking forward to having a lovely xmas where I hopefully can just relax.

Looking back to before all this started you would never have imagined having a year like this and hopefully never willagain.

Fingers crossed he is home soon, you start relaxing and you both have a wonderful xmas, and if like me you are looking forward to a boring 2014 where not a lot happens.:)x

Little did I realise when I started this diary it was not going to be the boring one I envisaged! It just shows you never know what's round the corner!

Now for the financial bit - I've started my 2014 VSP with £4.70 and paid £20 off the debt today. Halifax card now stands at £2880.00. Would like to pay off £100 by the end of the year but not stressing/skinting myself over it.

Mr SA is allowed home for the weekend. Picking him up Saturday and taking him back Sunday afternoon. He's looking forward to putting his feet up Saturday night with a couple of beers and sleeping in his own bed. He has been warned he has to put up with Strictly followed by the X Factor followed by I'm a Celebrity. He was tempted to stay in the hospital.

    Hello Diary and everyone!

Had a nice (but very expensive) weekend with Mr SA. He has just about blown my budget! Will have to be VERY careful now. He wanted a few new clothes and he hasn't had anything for so long how could I say no. Not too much damage done as went to TK Maxx and got him a coat, trainers, sweatshirt and jumper and it came to £87. So can't complain as all are good quality things. To be honest I might have to pay for his stuff out of savings or I'll be left with zero to last until next payday. He also wanted to go for coffee and lunch so all in all an expensive day. He wanted to get my Christmas present but persuaded him to let me get it as I want a bottle of perfume and I've got enough in Advantage card points to pay for that (phew). Might be able to do a bit of shuffling about of the Christmas budget if I use my Advantage card points.

So trying hard to have a couple of days spending as little as possible, I've got £10 to last me two days so should be ok, don't need anything food-wise just a bit of fruit. Luckily his ESA goes in the bank on Wednesday so the new food budget can be released. Still need to be careful though.

I've got to get Mr SA to realise that we don't have money to burn once he's out of hospital. That's one area he's never been able to get his head round!
