Hello all and thank you for your thoughts
Everything is still going ok. The Christmas fayre was lovely, although I thought the entrance fee of £3 each was a bit steep. Still all going to a good cause. Had a nice day on Sunday with Mr SA. Took him into town to see the decorations. However, he was being a bit of a pain, wanting to push his wheelchair rather than sit in it, it was busy, he was getting in everyone's way and we were going nowhere fast. So tempted him away with the promise of a pub lunch in our local.
Got another meeting with the social worker today. She wants a one to one with me.
Not so MSE news with the Christmas tree - brought it in the house on Sunday but after cutting away the dead bits to be honest it looked a bit straggly. So will have to buy a new one. Only want a small one as it has to go on top of a cupboard out of the dog's way. Will investigate Wilkinson and Argos. I think I'll put some outdoor lights on the old tree and put it outside the front door so you see it when you come down the drive. The rest of the decorations are up. I don't really put that many up, probably a bit minimalist compared to some people. I have fairy lights dotted around mirrors all year round anyway.
Still doing the Fly Lady thing. One good thing about this is that you get most of the cleaning done during the week so there's less to do at the weekend. And still trying to fit in a 20 minutes exercise session most nights. Went on my cross trainer last night.
Trying hard to stick to budget - it's a long time until next payday!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Good news at last from the doctor - Mr SA is in remission and here are the magic words "no evidence of disease". Can't tell you how relieved I am. Would insert the jumping up and down emoticon here but iPad doesn't do that sort if thing.
Meeting with social worker went really well and his discharge is being fast tracked. Looks like we will get a personal budget for care package. They asked if I knew of anyone who would take on the caring and as luck would have it someone I work with has a partner newly qualified as a carer who is Mr SA's age. They said to see if he's interested. Although there is no firm date for discharge they are aiming for at least a week before Christmas.
Finally things are looking up!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
