OP that is positive then that he wants to continue.
Which subjects is he doing and what did he get for each at GCSE?The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
My son was determined to do a levels, but after a little while he discovered that he wasn't enjoying them and was getting a bit disillusioned. We had a look around and he discovered a bTEC course that he was interested in. Because he already had the grades at GCSE he was accepted straight away. As he had only spent one year back at school funding for the course wasn't a problem. He has really enjoyed this different type of course and is getting distinctions We are now looking at universities for him in Sep/Oct but he would also be able to take up an apprenticeship as some of his college pals are doing.
Perhaps your son just needs to find the right sort of course for him and A levels might not be it. There are a lot of different options available these days. I hope that you are all able to help him find what works for himI need to make a new list for 2014
think of something to put on it!:rotfl:
Try harder for 2014 as I never managed it in 2012 or 20130 -
Today a good friend of mine rang me. Her son failed his AS levels last summer. However, he was given a 2nd chance by his school in 2 subjects to continue them and re-take them in Jan, in 2 subjects (business and economics). He wasn't able to re-sit his maths as teacher wouldn't allow him to continue. Friend rang me to tell me he's got Bs in both subjects, so it is possible to turn round if you apply yourself.0
