I was on PoF about a year ago - someone showed me when I was at work that I was showing up as being on the site - when I clearly wasnt, I was sitting on a check out! And I'm the same as the person who mentioned the tablet, I have an ipad which has a facebook app and I am showing as always being on facebook because of the ipad as it is never switched off.
So I'm guessing it is possible?0 -

I'd say dump him & lets meet up for coffee
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
Still no further forward with my dilemma!
He still denies he was using his account, but a lot of other things we ended up discussing seem to have improved.
Grrr just wish I could trust my own judgement!!0 -
Personally - regardless of whether he was on PoF or not, and if he was, whatever his reasons were, I would be looking at what caused me to want to 'check up on him' (for want of a better phrase). If I felt the need to do this (and go to the extent of setting up a fake account just to check) then I would be questioning the bigger picture, not just this one incidence.
That isn't to say I'd end the relationship here and now. Just that we'd need to talk and attempt to overcome the issues.0 -
I would keep an eye on it, and also perhaps make an account and message him. If he hasn't been using it, he won't message you back. If he has however... Good luck. I hope it really is just a computer glitch.0

I really don't want to go down the route of creating fake accounts etc, I'd like to think we can talk it through like adults without me having to become some sort of private detective!
There were other issues, which we seemed to have resolved to an extent.0 -
Yes I definitely agree there, it's just so difficult to know otherwise. If you take his word for it, then chances are you still have a little niggle at the back of your head, which it's really really hard to get rid of.
At least the other issues seemed to have been resolved, and this might actually be a blessing in disguise because it's made you talk about them and sort them out!0 -
On this occasion, give him the benefit of the doubt, if nothing else, you given him a fright, maybe he was just looking, it doesn't mean he was going to cheat on you, don't do what some folk advise, ie, setting up a fake account to catch him out, follow him in dark shades and a wig - honestly, it's been five months, give him a chance to delete his account etc, give him trust. He doesn't have an android phone, so no phone-related apps.
He did say he still gets email updates from it, so could it log him in if he opens one of the emails?
We have been together for about 5 months, and I can understand him not having deleted his account as it is a pain to work out how to delete it !
I did consider messaging him with a fake account, but decided I am too old to be playing games and so gave him the chance to come clean.
It's a difficult decision for me as I know I have trust issues anyway so I am not sure if I am just being paranoid, which is why I was asking if his explanation is possible.0
