Blantly he was online. The question is why was he on there? He might (probably won't) have a valid excuse.
I used to look at dating websites when I was in a relationship because my single friend would want me to look at men she was interested.
His friend could have asked him to look for him too, come on, it can't be double standards.
I wouldn't cease my acount if I met somebody new, I wouldn't expect my GF to either.0 -
He doesn't have an android phone, so no phone-related apps.
He did say he still gets email updates from it, so could it log him in if he opens one of the emails?
We have been together for about 5 months, and I can understand him not having deleted his account as it is a pain to work out how to delete it !
I did consider messaging him with a fake account, but decided I am too old to be playing games and so gave him the chance to come clean.
It's a difficult decision for me as I know I have trust issues anyway so I am not sure if I am just being paranoid, which is why I was asking if his explanation is possible.0 -

I caught my ex out in much the same way you have and he denied and and gave me excuses. Turned out he was cheating. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Once that green monster takes charge it is difficult, if apart from that everything else is ok, then enjoy the moments.
I had somebody message me today (I'm sort of seeing somebody already) anyways the messages have gone from POF to sms, and now she is texting texting texting . Luckily for me she is not a car owner, so it wouldn't get to a stage where I would be seeking another 'dinner'.
You should be able to tell with your bloke if he's a blagger or liar.0 -
It would be nice if he had deleted his account, but not a deal-breaker, as long as he didn't use it to keep 'dating' once we got together!
I could even accept him having used it for a week or so after we became 'official' to let people he might have been emailing know he wouldn't be meeting them.
But to be logged on 5 months later is a bit hard to explain away.
Since we talked about it he has deleted his account.
Which is not the point, but hey ho0 -
His profile was spotted by a friend, and so I created a blank account to check to see if it was actually him.
As I was looking at the profile, which said 'chat with...' in green, it then changed to '.... is online'.
So I sent him a text asking what was going on as I had seen his POF profile as being online.
A minute or so later it changed to '... was online today'
He claims it is an old profile he didn't delete and that he hasn't used it since we got together.
So yes I was checking on him, and he knows I was!
Sounds like he was caught out there. And no looking at an email won't log you in on anyone's website, unless you follow the links in the email to the site.
Thing is though what were his intentions logging in? Can you check the history and see how many time he's been on there lately?

There's a good Forum on PoF. lots of people go on the forums but never bother with the dating side. But to anyone looking in they'd just see you were logged on.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

I cant check anything as don't have access to his computer.
I wouldn't want to snoop either as it would only feed my paranoid nature.
If his excuse could be plausible then I could maybe carry on, but if there is no chance of it being true then I can't see I would trust him enough for things to work0 -
I'm shown as online on Facebook if I'm on my tablet at any time, even if I'm not on the site - prehaps something similar happens?Save £200 a month : [STRIKE]Oct[/STRIKE] Nov Dec Jan Feb Mar Apr0

I was seeing a girl I met off POF about a year ago, and we'd been going out for about 4 months when she saw me apparently logged into the site. I'm definately sure I hadn't been near it, no phone apps involved etc so it might be possible... difficult to explain though.0
