Hi all,
As I said before I can only tell you what the judge ordered I ahve had no official dla letter to give me break down. We did I am sure jointly apply for carers months ago and we explained it would be my husband and we both signed. Since the order by the judge was made, the dla sent me not him a letter to fill in asking me to provide my bank details, so I did. We do not have a jjoint account, my husband can't have one due to poor credit and no I.D. It is confussing as the judge order it to me both rates, although on the initial claim we did put my husband down as the carer, but nothing has come though and the back pay has already been paid, our next payment would be in three weeks, but I have not received the dla leeter of award.
hope this helps little, as I am as confussed as anyone right now. And I will be notifying dla in the morning that he is no longer my carer as thats what I ahve been advised to do, so the carers allowance will stop annyway I guess.0 -

I'm more confused than ever.
It seems that your husband had signed to get carer's allowance but that is on top of the care and mobility elements of DLA.
I think that only by phoning can things be clarified properly.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

OP... what date were you awarded DLA?
was this the first claim or a renewal?
if it was a renewal. what rates of DLA were you on previously?
when did your husbannds claim for carers allowance start?
it doesnt matter that you havent received a breakdown from DLA of the amounts you receive.
carers allowance is a seperate benefit, and would have its own letter stating how much and when from0 -
I am beginning to wonder if the ex husband gets DLA high rate myself, or if the whole thing is ....................Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0

Hi,
Well I was awarded it as from June 2012, we had a hearing in Feb 2013 and as said I was awarded high rate care component and low rate mobility, I think we did aplying for carers for my husband back in June but it was refused so it went to appeal courts. Since the I received a form asking me to provide the bank details for the payments. No other letter has come, but yet the back pay has been paid, but I cant work the amount out as it was all in one lump sum. My ex husband has not recevied a letter directly about carers allowance? but yet the lump sum has been paid and would easily exceed the low rate mobility by itself as this is only approx £85 per month, the back pay clearly by the amount must include carers arrears.
If this makes sense xx0 -
he wouldnt have got carers allowance until you had a middle or high rate DLA award.
if that cane in fenruary, i very much doubt that you have applied, been processed and received money in that time span0 -

low rate mobility = £20.55 per week
total DLA payable per week = £98.00
The above is your money for your disability not your husband!
Is your husband on your esa claim?0 -
the high rate DLA award is YOURS NOT YOUR HUSBANDS!
the lunp sun would be all of the low rate mobility and high rate care from june last year.
thats roughly £90 a week.
that would be about £3,000.
you would not have even been able to put in a claim for carers allowance until february , but it would have been backdated too.
it would come as a seperate payment from the DLA, and would probably still be being processed as it hwas only eastablished a few weeks ago that he was eligavle0 -
