so if i bought you a 50,000 pound car as a gift an then said i now want the money for the gift i bought you would you just had over the money?

or a sweater that you really hate that cost 50 pounds would you pay me the money???

think before you type it can lead to making some people look a bit silly

an in all fairness he has been called a few names but as some one pointed out we dont know this persons name so in effect we really dont know who has been called

It's only libellous if you can prove it damages the reputation of the individual named.

Since the individual hasn't been named, no-one has any idea who this is, and the OP hasn't identified herself either, I don't think this thread is remotely libellous.

I agree there are always two sides to every story, but this guy clearly sounds like a complete nut job based on the evidence given by the OP.

He has been called a !!!!!!, stalker, bully etc etc

    All fairly libelous imo
Libel isn't just a matter of opinion, it's a legal definition.
As rsykes said, noone has been identified so it can't be libellous. It's as libellous as me saying "my son is a murderer". There's no name or identity there to defame a reputation.

  • It'd be hilarious to click Print Thread and send this over to him.
Don't do it though; MSE gets enough letters from people lawyers every month :(.
