What I meant was, I guess with size 11 feet, you must be over 6ft in height which means that you musn't have much weight left to lose? Have you any idea of what your final target will be?
Hiya, just back from a day in Manchester, was up at 5am and 320 mile round trip later!
Height / Length its all the same to me.
Heightwise Im 5ft 10 and your typical front row/prop type rugby player, ie, short legs, long body, big shoulders (whole hunk of burning love)
What weight I am going to aim for? probably the mid to low 18 stone, now I realise and understand to you lovely gorgeous ladies that still sound like a lot, but it will be as far as I can go and still play rugby. I am seeing the dieticain again at the end of June and will have all my measurements taken and recorded we will probably reassess then.
I actually told my mum my weight last night, something I said I would when I hit the milestone, now last week, she said she thought I was 16-17stone so you can imagine the look on her face when I told her I was 19 stone 13lb  on the plus side though, perhaps it illustrates how the way I look and carry myself does not tally up with the actual weight I am?
Hope that makes sense.
Off for some dinner and then will read the rest of the postsProud Member of the Lose Weight Thread on I Wanna..................

Hi Just a quickie to thank Erlqueen for updating the 5lb challenge list for Lois and putting the rest of us on :T . Sorry to hear that you gained, but you at least you're not giving up, Good Luck with the classes. (I always thought you were Eriqueen not Erlqueen
DD pointed out my error - I'll beat her up later for being too smart :rotfl: )

I haven't seen any of the 'How to look good naked' series, so I wouldn't have recognised Gok Wan if I'd stood next to him... in fact I had to google the name to find out who it was!
I'm probably in the minority as an overweight person - although I'm self conscious in many ways, when it comes to bearing all with my DH I have absolutely no problem at all! We've been together for so long and he's seen me at my heaviest, pregnant, post natal, and nothing phases him, he finds all the bits I hate attractive
It just goes to show that although most single women think that men are looking for perfect, thin, toned bodies, in actual fact they like something to get hold of.

Well done casper for SOTW :T and for the gainers - just keepbecause next week you will all be losers too.
Actually Lois I've only ever caught the last 5 minutes of one of those shows, I personally find those sort of programmes not to be of much help or entertainment value, but DD wouldn't miss them and just laps them up, so that's really how I'd heard of him. It was only mid morning when I went in and none of the celebrity stuff had started, and at first I only recognised him by his specs (I don't think they suit him, in fact I think they're a hideous fashion style and I refuse to get any new glasses until the styles change - that's perhaps why I'm getting folks names wrong here:o ). However, for any fans of his here (I think Victory watches his show) each time I came across him, he did seem very nice and personable and without any affectations to 'celebrity' status and was talking to staff and customers on a very down to earth level. When I met up with DD later in the day, we had to rush back to the store so that she could see him (she likes his punk style of dressing) and there was a huge queue of women just waiting to have pics taken, autographs etc. but he was still very nice and natural. So that's one for him in my book, although I personally prefer men with a bit of body a la rugby player style - a whole hunk of burning love.
I do wish though, that I could be more confident about how I look, but I think it's one of those mental traits that can't be dispelled. Like some of you were saying last week, my parents didn't bring me up to have any confidence at all, whatever I achieved was never good enough and critcism was the norm, they both had insecure childhoods and seemed to relish in the faults and failures of others. I've tried so hard not to be the same to DD (who didn't get beaten up last night I hasten to add:rotfl: ) which I must admit was jolly hard at times, but between MrP, who is the exact opposite of me, and myself, she's turned out to be confident and outgoing with a lovely disposition and gets on with everyone...
...I just wish she'd keep her bedroom tidy  :rotfl:
Have a good day everyone :j , no star spotting for me today just down to earth housework etc
I've had quite a different few days this week and it will be interesting to see if this will help weight-loss-wise, you know, see if it makes the body sit up and take notice and think "hey what's going on? Better 'up' the metabolism". Hmm! I wonder.

Oh I would have loved to see Gok and ask him to deal with me and my stomach, dare him to find clothes that flatter that hey;)
I watch it avidly, do not go out and buy the potions and lotions they rate but do listen for hints and tips and hugely admire the women that at the end go along the catwalk in lingerie:eek:
suggs I am very much filled with admiration that you told your mum your weight, mine asked but I did not tell her as it would have just been used for ammunition to say I should be thinner (in her view):rotfl: :rotfl:
I read somewhere about ideal weight, obviously it says on the internet/the boots scales, at the docs what the height weight ratio should be but sometimes it really comes down to how good you feel about yourself and how you see the weight on you, at the moment all I get is 'stop now, you are done' but I do not feel that way so will go on for a few last pounds, you have to do what feels right for you and be happy with it.
Well done to all the loosers, thanks Erlqueen your answers did make me laugh:rotfl: :rotfl: your boss sounds like fun:rotfl:0 -

Pizza, cake and choclate are my weakness but I have found a cup of low cal options as a treat once I have the kids to bed usually stops the chocolate one now to solve the others. This time when I make cake I am making chocolate cake as I don't like it and Pizza only had 2 very small slices of home made pizza on a thin base with just a little cheese so have done a bit more walking so now not feeling so bad. So hopefully I have turned a bad day into an OK one if I can face 30 mins on the stepper once the kids are in bed.
My cravings have gone for stuff like this now. I always think of where I want to be by August ie SLIMMER SUMMER. The detimination keeps me sober!!! (from food that is)
I gonna be off in a couple of hours for my operation (sterlisation) so wish me luck. hopefully will be back online tom providing I am not dosed up with pain killers lol0 -
bindiboo Good luck hope the op goes well and you are back on your feet soon. I am feeling better today and did manage my 30 mins on the stepper so even after listing all my eats yesterday I had 1500 cals which is over what I planned but not completely off the scale so you can pull back a bad day sometimes.
Today like petrichor I am tackling the house work. I am going into the kitchen hopefully I will survive :rolleyes:0 -
My goodness this is going to sound ridiculous but I am in a bit of a dilemma….I have just started the gym as I want to lose weight. Today I plan to go after work 7-8pm then do a water workout class 8-9pm. This means I will get home about 9.45pm or so.
When should I eat dinner (which is already cooked)…shall I eat it before I go gym (the earliest time of which would be 5.30-5.45pm or do I wait till after the gym at possibly as late as 10pm. I don’t wanna get stiches by working out on a full stomach, but I also don’t wanna be starving marvin when I finish…
All help appreciated!!0 -

I think it may come down to personal preference, but I usually go to the Gym in my 'Lunch Break' at work. So I (and my gym buddy) eat lunches at our desks at 13.00, give it an hour to digest then head to the gym.
Having said that I'm always famished afterwards aswell, and I read that if you eat just after you've been to the gym, something light, like an apple or banana, your body digests it better. Or something.
So, I'd suggest trying to eat before you go, but give yourself breathing space to digest... if you know what i meanand then have an apple or summat.
