Some design ideas /concept ideas for you to mull over.....
A poop bag which has , say a liquid Nitrogen cannister, to harden the poop as you put it in the bag( Stop that warm, Squishy feeling between your fingers !)
Or paded ones, so you don't feel it ( I used to have 2 pieces of kitchen towel layed over poop first before I scooped it up.
Portable pressure washer to clean up when had sloppy poop on someones driveway. ( have been known to go back with a bucket before now )
A car lift to get your elderly Dog in the back seat of your car( sort of Sheet that dog stands on, you pull one side up and dog slides onto back seat, other side attached onto car. Dog steps useless, my dog freaked out.
Portable dog bath, for when your dog is too heavy to lift into the bath, or you have a posh bath( Jacuzzi) and don't want dog hairs blocking the jets . lol
An invisible Muzzle, so your dog doesn't look vicious, but it stops him eating every butty crust, 1/2 eaten pie, chips, burgers, bread for ducks, kids sweets, anything in someone elses carrier bag as you walk past them etc ( and I wondered why he put on 8 kilos ! )
Something to make their poop smell more pleasant !
A water resistant coating to apply to dogs hair, to stop mud getting attracted to it, to eliminate daily baths.
Some sort of eyeshades that stop them giving you the puppy dog eyes, when you won't give them your piece of cake !
Something to make them smell nice when you want to cuddle them to death.
Any more? lol0 -
A good diet can help with the poo issues, Chaya's doesn't smell, is firm & easy to pick up & I just stick the bag in a pocket until we find a bin, no need to carry it0
-
I like the idea of peddles for bins so we don't have to touch the lid!
I would love more bins around, I walk a mile and a half to school in the morning and the dog comes with us, there is only 1 bin on the way though which is really frustrating.
I would love some miracle lead to stop my dog from pulling, no amount of training seems to make a blind bit of difference!Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0 -

This might help with the pulling:

It doesn't hurt the dog, even though it looks a bit evil. Worked a treat on a very "pully" dog I know
For those with squishy poop, check the protein levels in the dog's food as high protein levels can have that effect. Also, my dog was very windy when I first got her and her poops weren't exactly solid. She now gets half a charcoal biscuit (she's only diddy) a day and is fed on 17% protein dry biscuits. No more windypops and the poops are as they should be. The only time her poops are sloppy is when she's picked something up that she shouldn't have done (such as her projectile one the other day - luckily it was only the one and in the forest)0 -
Squishy poop is a free hand warmer in the winter0

I'm pregnant at the moment, so bending down is becoming an issue. I'm finding picking up the dog's toys and poop, and attaching the lead to the dog's collar getting more difficult as the weeks go on. (I know a dog walker who suffers from vertigo at times and she has trouble with the same things.)
I have a long handled tennis ball thrower which is great, but my dog also likes to play with a frisbee. I know you can get long handled poop scoops, but I'm already carrying the tennis ball thrower on walks and need a hand free to hold the dog's lead. As for the collar problem, I think I need a taller dog!0 -
Big5, maybe you need to get one of these:

dog owners who blithely say 'Oh my dog(s) loves kids', when I am trying to stop my dogloving grandkids from rushing up to strange dogs to give them a cuddle or kiss!
I love dogs too - but am trying to teach the GKs NOT to assume that ALL dogs are friendly!
I wish that dog owners wouldn't take their pets into childrens' play areas! or if they did, to at least pick up after them!
and for someone to devise a head harness which is 'escape proof'! tho that is redundant for me now as I am no longer a dog owner and due to health issues wont ever have another.0 -
Love it Suki, thanks!
What wording would I put on a vest though?
Something to warn other people that my dog is a pain in the backside and so to be aware he will act like a fool, but not to scare them off completely otherwise we will never get chance to practice meeting people!0 -
My council has implemented a Dog Control Order which has some ridiculous things on it. No leads over 6ft anywhere, no dogs on any ground with a marked out pitch (even if pitch is small section of area), dogs banned from many main dog walking areas, plus others.
One of my big gripes is people without dogs complaining about dogs on teh only part of the beach that dogs are allowed. People have miles of sand they can use yet families decide to picnic on the dog beach and wonder why dogs keep trying to steal their butties. The joggers keep getting chased by play full dogs thinking its a game of chase. One lady the other day screamed she was scared of dogs and get it away from her (it being a pug puppy). Well don't run along the dog beach love.
Rant over, deep breath ...I seldom end up where I wanted to go, but almost always end up where I need to be0
