ignore the ones who don't understand, listen to those who do, they are the ones who matter

One of the best bits of advice I've read on this forum :T

Like many of us I have multiple problems, claim multiple entitlements (this word used by the LA Housing guy, a few weeks ago, when I went in to claim HB/CTB for the first time), but I really am not a pushover with the bullies & trolls that sometimes appear. In fact I am happy to tell them to p*ss off. But they must make some posters, especially the new ones, too scared to post again.

Hope you don't mind me asking, but did a psychiatrist give you the diagnosis of 'Split Personality Disorder'?. I see a psychiatrist and he just point blank doesn't believe in it as a diagnosis (not accusing you of being untruthful but I am interested - and I do know what it's like to have people disbelieving your MH problems, not nice :().

The current term is Dissociative Identity Disorder, or Multiple Personality Disorder - if it helps, it is surprisingly common. ;)

I think you need to send all the evidence you have, in order to help them reach a decision.

As long as they have the right information, and medical practitioners are able to support that evidence, then it may not be to difficult, but you never know, given the issues some people have had witth ATOS.
Dear Lord, I am calling upon you today for your divine guidance and help. I am in crisis and need a supporting hand to keep me on the right and just path. My mind is troubled but I will strive to keep it set on you, as your infinite wisdom will show me the way to a just and right resolution. Amen.

unless you are prepared to give ful details, then no one can give truly helpful advice

People can give advice without needing to know what someone's health conditions are.

I found your comments quite rude, really. People can give helpful advice without all the ins and outs.

As previously stated, 4 weeks isn't a long time where ESA is concerned. Personally I'd call ATOS and see what's happening. This is what I did when it was my time for renewal, they told me over the phone they weren't sending me for a medical, it's a free phone number and may set your mind at ease :)

  • hi mamma thanks for sharing your diagnosis with us i know it can be hard at times as some people dont fully understand mental illnesses but were not here to judge you we are here to help you.

my sister whom i look after has psychosis , Borderline personality disorder and bipolar 2 so your not alone believe me i know how these illnesses effect people as my sister has had hers since 2002 so i can fully understand and appreciate what you go though on a daily basis as i often help my sister prepare for her ESA50 form and help her fill this this in as i can be difficult with the yes no questions they ask.

do you have a current CPN and support worker?

my sister sent her off in January and we had a reply by February its all depends on the area you live in and how behind they are with getting through the forms it may take a little while longer but that's nothing to be worried about.

id call them up to confirm if they have got it and asked them if there is a delay what date are they currently up too

if you need any more help and support please get back in touch we are all here to help you
