As Bushmills 70cl is reduced for a few more days till 17th ;Will just the difference work or is there to many restrictions ?
You have to buy 10 items to get it to work, so you need to find 9 other items that are either cheaper as well or do not compareIf you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550 -
So, I shopped at Tesco this morning and purchased, among other things, 2 x 6-pint jugs of Tesco semi-skimmed milk @ £1.89 per jug. I got a voucher for £0.36 off my next shop, but ASDA sells it's 6-pint jugs of semi-skimmed milk @ £1.48 per jug. I don't know exactly what products the 36p voucher refers to, but the difference in the milk alone accounts for 82p. Is this "Price Promise" just a big con?0

It compares the cost of your whole basket, so if something else was cheaper at Tesco then it will have offset that against your milk. It looks as if the rest of your comparable shopping was 46p cheaper at Tesco. From what I've seen Tesco are cheaper than Asda in certain categories, and Asda cheaper in others. For maximum savings you would need to split your shop into two and not utilise the price match guarantees as the overall bills can be fairly similar.
That's for those with the luxury of two supermarkets nearby and the time to do it on a price comparison site that has all current offers and prices.
I agree with this 100% as I don't have any supermarkets near me I do it all online, it takes very little extra time to have both the ASDA website and TESCO website open at the same time, I put the whole list on both sites the total basket cost is usually THE SAME, however go back and remove the items they are most expensive for (keep track on your paper list with an A or T as you go along for speed) for me i've found the savings on an average shop of £120 to be between £15 and £35 so far, even though I am paying two delivery charges.
I know asda have a 10% price promise but as they exculde fresh produce, things on offer and other items, I will never get as good a price as actually buying only the cheapest items from each shop.
Its very easy for anyone to try this out, honestly it is THE best deal.0 -
bushmills only £11 at asda0

Does anyone know if they take into account special offers like 'two for £2' or similar?0

They only problem I have found with Tesco Price Promise is that if you have one product that is, for example, 4p cheaper than say Asda, but something would have been 3p cheaper elsewhere, rather than give you the 3p, it is cancelled out by the fact that something else was 4p cheaper!0

Read on here somewhere (and now can't find for the life of me) that Muller corner yogurts are £1.85 or similar at Morrisons. I paid £2.50 at Tesco but on the price match online it lists them as £5 at Morrisons. Can anyone please confirm the Morrisons price or have I got it completely wrong? TIA.It's 5 o'clock somewhere!0

Ok I just did my weekly shop, if I bought the whole lot at Tesco it would have been £201.07 + £3.50 delivery (£204.57), if I had bought it at Asda it would have been £181.93 + £4.00 delivery (£185.93). I spilt the shop between the two (cheapest items from each only) and the combined cost is £164.52 + £7.50 delivery (£172.02) PLUS I also made sure that any items the SAME price at both shops went on to the ASDA shop as they promise to be 10% cheaper, but I have to wait until tomorrow to see how much the coupon will be worth as it's difficult to calculate yourself with all the exclusions.0 -
The maximum the Tesco voucher can be is £10 not matter how much cheaper it is elsewhere. If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550
