i dont think there is any need for that kind of a comment calling someone s names i can see your frustrated with what some of the other people have said just hit the report button and let admin deal with it that's what the report button is for.
your clearly having problems managing your money due to what ever reason its hard a lot of us are facing this but it seems you do need help with this there isa lot of support for you on here and all over the internet i have some further advice for you
have you not tried to get a different bank account? have you tried to get the lower gas electric tariffs if you have disabled child? there is also extra money available on child tax credit if you have a disabled child that receives DLA its almost an extra £52 a week on top of the current child tax credit award for a disabled children
ther is also turn2us and the family fund you can apply to for financial assistance (grants available) every year for people with disabled children too there is a lot of extra help out there maybe get a basic bank account with just cash card so you cant go overdrawn just an idea.
its hard to live and survive on your own with jsa ect ect but its even hard for families to survive also so i can see where you coming from to a point but screaming at people is not going to get you anywhere i understand that your frustrated but here is always help

My daughter doesn't have a passport or photo driving licence and she opened basic accounts with Co-op and Barclays0 -
i do have to ask the question - where is the kids dad in all this? you make it sound like you are a single mum as on IS - perhaps the disabled child's fther could help with the travel costs to hospital? Alternatively, set up an authorised OD with the bank, then if you do happen to go overdrawn at least you wont be charged massively
unfortunately more and more nowadays its about budgeting - little things like reducing the gas costs by not having the heating on as much - my heating is on for an hour when we all get up, then once the kids are out at school/playschool it goes off - i am able to put an extra jumper on after allJanuary Wins - Gangster Squad Goodies, Sun Lotion

March Wins - 2night family break to legoland, outfit from Kaleidoscope, Iron Cleaning Stck.

I could be having both a blonde and a senior moment at the same time here, but isnt it more expensive to pay for gas/electric using the top up cards anyway, rather than having a direct debit?
At least that would help you with budgetting as you'd know exactly how much you had to spend on bills etc and what was left. I know what it feels like to have more month than money (and that was before the economic downturn!), but I've learned to budget properly because I've had to. And as hard as it was, I'm very grateful for the hard lesson.
Hope you've calmed down a bit now ~ hopefully once you have a new account (and the Post Office one someone suggested sounded like a good one for your benefits), you will be able to repay your old bank, but do keep talking to them. Face to face is much harder for them to be hardfaced with you!LBM July 2006. Debt free 01 Sept 12 .. :T

Many years ago, my 18 month old had regular appointments at the children's hospital. I also had my 3 year old with me.
We used to catch a bus that would take us halfway, then get off and walk another mile up a very steep long road to the hospital.
This was because we couldn't afford the bus fare to go all the way into town, then another bus out to the hospital.
Taxi's wouldn't even have been contemplated.
There were no 'benefits' to help in those days.0 -
Maybe that's you i have to get a taxi as walking 3 mile to a train station isnt an option for me. Then having to walk to the hospital from the train station with 3 kids.
The childs father help's out alot, but he can't work due to having surgery on his knee and arms after a car accident. But he doesnt live with me but trys his best.
The Gas & Electric meter's are better as it's just paid for and done and no direct debit's which makes life easier really.
Life is tough for alot of people out there i know this, nothing is easy i have a job waiting for me i just cant get back into as yet but hopefully i will. Thanks for all your help everyone!0 -
i live in a rural area, apparantly not far from the OP.
,Y DAD IN ;AW HAS BEEN IM HOSPTAL FOR THE LAST 6 WEELS. MY pa TALES ME BUT IF SHE DIDNT IT WOULD MEAN 2 SEPERATE BUS RIDES0 -
How is a dd going to help with a meter? Disability benefits are also very generous, but you seem to overlook that.
I thought the OP said she wasn't yet receiving DLA,it was just being sorted? By the way OP, you don't have to have a diagnosis to get DLA, you just need to prove that the child needs a chain level of care over and above that of child of the same age.
Also if you do get awarded DLA there is an organisation called the 'Family Fund' which you can get grants from. They provide all sorts of things, including special equipment, computs, toys etc, driving lessons, they may be able to payto have a car fixed, holidays, washing machines, tumbles dryer, cooker- you state your need and they assess what they think is appropriate.
My son was given a large trampoline with safety netting for the garden, along with a computer with adaptations and a printer. You can apply once a year, I have only applied once as I felt they were so very generous.Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!0
