Went in Sainsbury's this morning for a few bits and hoped I might spot a few Xmas leftovers reduced. The best I managed was mincemeat at 5p a jar so that's next Christmas's mince pies covered! A few reductions on chilled stuff but nothing less than half price. Picked up a few packs of breaded plaice and smoked cod as half price is better than full price when it's something you wanted anyway!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. Do you just allow time to defrost when you want to eat these then? Do you leave them in their waxy coating too and how long will they keep in the freezer for? I've seen these b4 but would never eat them by the expiry date. Thank youtessie_bear wrote: »aldi today 100gm cheese truckles for 25p...if my maths is correct that is £2.50 a kilo...now all in freezer...our aldi had a huge amount of christmas stock left...seemed to be more than they had at christmas so will be interested to see how the reductions go

Ditto me - bought a load of Xmas chutney and cranberry and port sauce for hampers next year at the princely sum of 20p each. Have no idea where I am going to store them for the next 11 months though....:o. Luckily they are only small jars, definitely not worth £1.80 each.ScarletMarble wrote: »Sainsburys TTD Xmas chutneys - Xmas, figgy pudding and caramised onion 20p each.

Got the mincemeat too, no small jars left but plenty of big (800g+) one for 10p. They make the most brilliant moist fruit cake.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
