I got lots of Christmas chocolates from Waitrose this morning at 10p each - loads of date on them...

Tree chocs, lindt teddy's, Cadburys Robins filled with Smarties and boxes of lindt lindor cookies & cream.

Will use the lindt chocs for easter & put them in little bags rather than the box they are in.

    :money:

Popped to Waitrose this morning in search of 30p Heston puddings and chocs but no joy :( but did get X4 Charlie Binghams Chicken fancy dinner things for £1.50 each instead of £6.49 each, and their in date until the 7th and can be frozen :j:j:j so that's 4 very nice dinners done for £6 :D.

Fresh party food is half price at Sainsburys! Longest date I saw was 10th. I helped a customer to save money as he was buying packs of veg samosas and onion bharjis in the Indian range. Pointed out the party food to him. Saved him £3!

  • Waitrose were reducing their christmsa large gammon joints today, 2.8kg, huge, £25 reduced down to £6. I was happy with that! Also picked up prawn toasts down to 35p. If you time it right in Waitrose you can get some amazing bargains, especially as their offers work with reductions. On saturday I got packs of smoked salmon including reduction and the offer £1.15 a pack from £4.49.

Was in my local Mr T today looking for bargains but nothing to be had but I did notice that they have loads of frozen turkeys still at full price - was wondering if they will be reducing them soon to free up freezer space, would be a great bargain
