Dead easy. Get some pitta breads, and salad. Cut off slices of lamb and microwave. Toast the pittas. Presto, a kebab which actually tastes alright, and you don't have to buy from a ropey shop at three in the morning while drunk.

    Shepherds pie.

Mince the meat add cooked onion and carrots mince them too, mix it all together with leftover gravy if you have any. If not just make up some gravy.
    Cover with mash potato.
Cook in the oven for about 25mins.

My fav, I've got this for tea tomorrow. mmmm:drool:

I use left over Roast in the slow cooker as a stew even the roast potatoes! -that how I found out sprouts were good in stew lol!

for Lamb, I would add a little extra mint to the left over gravy & maybe a couple of stock cubes
I THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I Know

I know you said you didn't want to mince it, but thats what I do. I then make up a yorkshire pudding batter and put the mince and batter into a large dish to bake in the oven.

Its been a favourite of my family for more years than I care to remember.

Thanks for the ideas - I haven't got a mincing machine that's why I said not minced otherwise I would. OH would love the kebab idea, but I am going to perhaps try a sort of hotpot/stew idea by slicing what I have got, layering some root vegs over it, gravy, then sliced pots, put in t'oven, then Bobs your uncle and hopefully Fanny will be the aunt. Do this sound like it will work?

You can chop it with a knife for my recipe. I just throw mine into the food processor which is why I use it "minced" but cut up into small pieces would work just as well, the texture will just be different.

    Hi brindles,

We have a thread with lots of ideas for using up left over lamb that should help so I've merged your thread with it because it helps to keep all the suggestions together.

I cooked a roast last night, and have a good chunk of a roast leg of lamb left in the fridge today. There's two of us for dinner tonight - anyone got any ideas on what to do with it? Or any other uses that could be frozen or for later in the week?
