    Hi all,

Been busy with work and spending time with mr el, the garden is slowly coming together, I have cleared some of the weeds, dug some of the ground over and got bits ready for planting, still have a lot more to do but it was amazing spending time doing stuff I love :) mr el took off as much I the rough cast as he could manage then cemented the wall as best as he could preparing it for painting

One huge difference we have noticed is not having the meal planning done has made a huge difference to our budget, we have been on and even slightly under budget for months till this month, we have one week to go an we are already nearly £140 over budget ... All of it in food things a wee £5 here a wee £10 there all mounts up

So that will be changing ... I am at work tonight and will have a menu plan made up by the end of the shift

I'm angry that we have slipped but gla that we have caught it before it has went too far, no wonder our finances were in such a pickle

I do mine weekly! Don't like to think too far in advance but often if I buy something for a meal there's some in fridge/freezer for the following week...

I was finding when I did it 3/4 weekly it was less hassle to do but I have to admit we did change days more often cause we couldn't be bothered with what we were meant to eat ( still ate everything just in a different order) ... Gonna try starting at two weeks again and see how I go :)

I've still not managed to plan any meals :o
However, Tonight we are having minced beef and onion in gravy with potatoes and veg- courtesy of the £1.00 bargain 670g minced beef (yellow stickered) and cheap diced onion (2p a bag yellow stickered) :D
Hoping to have some left over for tomorrow-maybe.
