    OK.
You can have as many accounts as you like.
There are introductory rates and offers on the new account so, you can't get them on more than one account.
I was wrong to assert that there was nothing about it in the T&Cs.
However, that only confirms the point that I was trying to make that the T&Cs rule. OK. Not what someone at a call centre says, not what someone on a message board says.
Lesson for everyone: don't sign up until you read the T&Cs.
As I don't want this account I only skimmed. Had I wanted it, I would have printed them out, studied them, made notations, then decided.

Well I got accepted for one of these today and I'm not even employed!

To double check - pay in 2.5k. And just put in 1k in and out once a month. Thats it?

Yes, thats all you need to do. Repeat x 11 (the 2500 counts in month 1) then move the money away at the end (plus skimming the interest off each month).

I don't know about you, but my best interest account apart from this one is 3%, so that would net me an extra £2.40 over the course of the year. I think I'll just leave the interest in the account and move it out after a year, rather than putting 1K in and £992 out.

    Agree, the answer is 'no'.

I think the answer to that might be a 'yes'.
However, at the end of each successful application they confirm you get 5% AER for 12 months.

    Well spotted girl ....
Let wait and see what happened to those who have opened four A/C whether the interest are still paid in all accounts ??

    Hi Guys,

I've been looking at these forums for advice for a while now and decided to dip my toe in the water and say Hi!

I'm currently with Nationwide and hold a standard current account & a RS @ 6% interest. Does anyone know if I upgrade to the FlexDirect will I lose the RS interest rate?

I have a full ISA with NS&I at a measly 2.25% so if this all pans out right and multiple accounts are allowed I will be withdrawing my ISA for 2012/2013 and spreading it over three accounts with my other savings.
    Current Acc's(AER) - £7.5k@5%, £5.1k@ 4%
    Saver Acc's(AER) - £2.4k @ 6%

    ISA - £5.76k@2.5%

    Cash ~ £800

if they have then you can call them up and force them to remove it from your credit history. This occurred with me when i applied for a halifax creditcard. They accidentally ran 3 back to back! (and was over the phone!)

But i noticed it a couple months later of my credit history and called them up and they removed them all straight away!
